Most bears in the Sanctuary were rescued from deplorable, cramped cages where they were kept for “entertainment” as tourist attractions. Many were seized from restaurant terraces, hotels, and villas, while others were held captive near factories, gas stations, or a monastery. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy meeting the bears and witnessing their newfound freedom. Following this experience, the journey continues to Dracula Castle to seek out the enigmatic count.
