Wonderful manifestation of FAITH in a mine - After a journey of about two hours there is the mine turned Cathedral as an example of the Faith of men. It is beautiful and manifest that in moments of darkness and fear FAITH keeps us.
It is cold and warm, dark and bright, it is everything you could imagine in a salt cave. At each step the stations of the specially designed Via Crucis are opened. It has all the needs and customer services from bathrooms to cafeterias and spa rooms. FAITH and salt are the elements of this wonderful journey to then wake up on the train and return to the surface.
I recommend it. At the entrance there are ATMs, photos, places of sale of drinks and snacks.

A Sublime Journey into the Depths of Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral - I recently had the opportunity to take a tour to the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, my second tour with this company, and it was nothing short of amazing.
The tour was well-organized, starting from the pick-up at our hotel to the journey to Zipaquirá. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the Salt Cathedral itself. The atmosphere inside the cathedral was surreal and awe-inspiring. The intricate carvings, the play of light and shadow, and the sheer grandeur of the cathedral carved out of salt left us speechless. It's a testament to human ingenuity and a sight that I believe everyone should experience at least once.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. It's not just about visiting a place; it's about immersing yourself in a unique cultural experience. The Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral tour is a journey that will stay with you long after you've left the cathedral's cool, salt-laden air.

a smart use of time - Visiting the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá can be a smart use of time depending on your interests. If you enjoy history, architecture, or unique tourist destinations, then it could be a great experience for you. The cathedral is a remarkable architectural and artistic achievement, carved out of a salt mine deep inside a mountain. It's also a place of pilgrimage, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

Top-notch customer service - I want to take this opportunity to thank Augusto for all the patience, excellent driving and hard work he has put in over the past few days. I know it's been a really tough time with me wanting to stop so much, but he kept going and pushed through. Thank you so much!

Lovely & fun - My family and I were lucky enough to tour Zipaquira with David as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of the tour and made sure we had a great time. He even gave us some stories about his life that my family really enjoyed hearing about. We really felt like we were experiencing something special when David was with us!

5 stars! - Out of all the group listings for tours to Zipaquirá and the Salt Cathedral, we are very pleased we chose this one. Ana was an amazing guide, sharing her knowledge of the history and culture of Bogotá and Zipaquirá. We had plenty of time to explore the salt cathedral on our own and Ana and our driver Cesar promptly picked us up when we were finished. Highly recommend this quick trip out of the city!

Overall great experience - Diego was a great guide and we really enjoyed talking with him. Overalls expensive was great! Only feedbacks I have are 1. I wish the descriptions are more clear regarding the actual tour within the cathedral is an English audio tour. 2. Trip is pricer versus other similar trips, it may be due to the nature of smaller groups, however I still feel it's not price competitive at $100 per person.

Detail, worth seeing... - On my trip to Colombia I visited Zapaquirà and the Salt Cathedral. A particular place, you go underground through a tunnel, where the 14 Stations of the Cross are represented and you arrive at the actual cathedral. Suggestive, with particular plays of light, definitely worth seeing.
Too bad about the ending in the cave itself, the usual presence of shops with souvenirs and gadgets that take away a bit of charm from the environment

SCAM! Shame on you TripAdvisor - THIS TOUR IS A SCAM!!!!
I booked the VIP $190 Salt Cathedral tour. This was supposed to have a nice car pick me up with a private English speaking tour for the day. The tour was supposed to include salt cathedral tour and two stops in town with a tour of the town as well. None of this happened. Someone picked me up from the hotel in a beat up car. He was a very nice driver, but did not speak any English, and was not aware of any English guide that was even supposed to meet me anywhere. When we got to the cathedral, there was no guide to meet me. I waited sitting by the entrance for OVER AN HOUR while the driver disappeared and tried to find an English speaking person to give me a tour. He finally found an employee of the cathedral to walk me around. The employee was very nice, but this was not what i had paid for. After the tour around the cathedral, the employee went back to work at the cathedral and i did not have anyone to continue the tour around town. After looking for my driver for 30 minutes, we got back in his car, and went to a spot for lunch. Again, the driver was very nice and he did his best, but the operator and organizer of this tour completely lied about what i would receive, and is a complete scam. The “delicious gastronomy experience” i was supposed to have for lunch was disgusting and the meat was inedible. We then went back to my hotel without any city tour. I asked for a refund and tripadvisor said they could not help me. Not even a partial refund was offered. BEWARE of this company, and of tripadvisor because they DO NOT have your best interest in mind. This is a shame because one tour of many experiences and trips i have booked through tripsdvisor has cost them my business for life. I will never trust tripadvisor again. When you book something in a foreign country, you expect to feel safe and receive what you pay for. If not, you expect a reputable company like TripAdvisor to help you. I only had 2 days in Bogota and i bought this “6 hour trip” with the expectation of having one of the days be this wonderful, memorable and well planned experience that Trip Advisor helped advertise. Instead, the tour took almost 8 hours, without the city tour, and i did not have time to do anything in the afternoon. A complete waste of my time and my experience in Bogota, and i have no faith in these companies any more. The previous day, however, i booked a city tour with a company called Green Trails, and they were wonderful. To go from a wonderful company like Green Trails, to this horror show, was a really big let down. Horrible TripAdvisor, shame on you for advertising this tour scam company, and for not supporting a customers needs, especially a customer that has been with you for many years.
