- Excell EN tour with our guide Sebastian and our driver Jesus, communication and pick up at the hotel were very easy. The visit DE Guatavita (although physically demanding) was beautiful and very informative. Since the site guides speak only Spanish, Sebastian visited us EN English, taking the time DE show us some plants and explain their virtues or why they are dangerous. For foodies, Sebastian likes to talk DE Colombian cuisine and taught us a lot, and during the day there is the possibility DE try arepas in a small shop and different traditional dishes in a restaurant for lunch. The visit DE the cathedral DE sel was also interesting, we are given a lot DE time to visit everything. EN short, informative, interesting and beautiful, with a perfect formula to simplify life!

Great tour and guide - This is an all day tour. We got picked up at 730 am right on time. Did not get dropped off until 9 pm that night. Sebastian was our guide . His English was very good. Sebastian was amazing especially because my husband started not to feel well as we started to climb to the lagoon. There are 150 steps and you are climbing to almost 10,000ft. The trail is typically one way but we had to turn around. Sebastian accompanied us while ensuring the rest of the group could proceed with no issues. Then we had to find transportation to the meeting point at the other end where our bus was. This was a Sunday before a holiday Monday and traffic at the lagoon was insane - two way traffic on a muddy track barely wide enough for one vehicle. Sebastian was definitely a life saver in this situation. From the lagoon to Zipaquirá it is about 1 1/2 hours. We were allotted 2 1/2 hrs there although 2 1/2-2 hours would have been sufficient. Although crowded, busy , full of gift shops the Salt cathedral is quite spectacular. If at all possible avoid going on this tour on a Sunday or holiday. Traffic out of Bogota, at the lagoon and back into Bogota added many hours to the journey. However the excursion was well worth it and I was very pleased with the professionalism.

Good experience but money apparently stolen - The tour itself was very well conducted by Sebastian and we had a wonderful time. However, the main issue (still unresolved) is that we had paid for Zipaquirá + Laguna Guatavita, however we received a last-minute note from the company that a visit to the Laguna wouldn' t be possible. When we asked for a partial refund as per the cancellation, no replies from Viator UNTIL TODAY (it has been 1 full month since the tour, chased them several times and no substantial replies - they are still "trying to understand what happened" and no signs of my money. Will keep this posted updated as time goes, hoping I get a refund.
