- Ras El Maa Waterfall - Ras el Maa spring is considered the foundation of the town of Chefchaouen. It has been and remains the sole provider of drinking water to the town. Historically, it powered the watermills along its banks and irrigated the surrounding farms. Today, managed by the National Office of Drinking Water (ONEP), it is a popular tourist attraction for visitors to Chefchaouen.
- Chefchaouen Medina - The Medina of Chefchaouen is among the most charming in Morocco, with most buildings painted in blue and white, giving the city a fresh, clean appearance with an Andalusian touch.
- القصبة - The Kasbah in Chefchaouen is centrally located. This ancient military fortification was constructed in the 15th century.
- Grand Mosque - Constructed in the 15th century, the Great Mosque of Chefchaouen was commissioned by Moulay Mohamed Ben Ali Ben Rachid, the son of the town’s founder. It features an octagonal minaret, which is unique compared to the typical square minarets found throughout the country’s numerous mosques. The design was influenced by Andalusian styles brought by Muslims from Spain. Built from stone, its brown and beige hues blend with the surrounding blue and white buildings. Admiring the mosque is a highlight of the city’s attractions.
- Place Outa el Hammam - Outa El Hamam square serves as a central meeting point in the medina of Chefchaouen. It is the city’s main square, bustling with locals daily. Surrounded on three sides by café and restaurant terraces, the fourth side features public benches shaded by the kasbah’s walls. A large cedar tree stands in the center, with several white-trunked lime trees along the edge. The large mosque and its octagonal minaret add to the scenery. The pedestrian-only square is vibrant, offering a place for socializing, relaxation, dining, and experiencing the lively atmosphere.
