- Puente Zimatan - The activity is carried out in the Zimatan River Canyon (about 30 minutes from Bahías de Huatulco), to participate you need a moderate physical condition, it is not recommended for overweight people, with some type of injury or medical condition that does not allow walk or swim During the tour we float downstream in the salavidas chaquelo, we slide along natural slides, we walk along the river bank and paths in the forest, we practice rappelling and jumping from stones (rappelling and jumping from stones are optional), there is also time to Rest in natural whirlpools and take photos. The equipment to be used is a life jacket and a helmet, participants must bring shoes that can get wet (not flip flops) and sunscreen; They can also wear a cap under the helmet. In the case of bringing a camera photos it must be waterproof and shockproof. In the river we are approximately two hours, after the activity we provide lunch, water and beer. Returning we make a stop at Playa La Bocana. The activity lasts a total of approximately four hours.

A must-do for adventurers! - Canyoning in this beautiful river, guided by Cristian, was one of the best parts of our trip to Huatulco. For those who love adventure and a little bit of adrenaline, this is the excursion for you. Cristian was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to point out some plants to avoid, amongst other cool facts about the area! He taught us how to safely float down the river and gave us plenty of opportunities to practice before we started down some of the bigger “slides”. This was so fun and the river was beautiful and clear. At the end of the river he stopped us at a spot where we could climb up a cliff and jump off into the deep river below! (And went first to prove it’s safe). There were varying heights to jump from, and when I was nervous to do the highest one, Cristian was supportive and encouraging. He told me I’d be the happiest person alive if I did it, and he was right! I probably wouldn’t have tried it without him cheering me on. If you’re looking for a beautiful hike followed by some fun on the river, look no further than this tour with Cristian. He even had a delicious sandwich and a cerveza waiting for us at the rivers end. I didn’t bring anything to put my phone to keep it dry so I didn’t get many pictures but honestly it was nice to unplug and the memories you’ll make on this tour will last just as long as the photos :).

Adventure in Huatulco! - Excellent adventure! Would definitely recommend doing this if you are in Huatulco. Our guide Christian was awesome.

Awesome guide and float down the river! - Awesome tour! If you are adventurous and up for a challenge this is the tour for you. Beautiful hiking and refreshing float down the river after. Cristain was awesome! So much knowledge about the river and city. We unfortunately didnt get any pictures since we didnt think to bring a water proof camera or phone, so that is a must if you go. Would highly recommend if you are not active or adventurous you sit this out as it is for sure a workout!

A must do if you are in Huatulco. If you are adventurous, definitely! If you are timid, no problem! - Fantastic! And, our guide, Cristin, was so great. He kept our interest front and center the entire time, tailoring the entire day to our level of experience without sacrificing any of the fun.
A fun hike up to our drop in point. We saw many animal tracks and he shared his knowledge of the area, and flower and fauna. (He’s also just a nice, funny guy). Then the best float back to our start point. If you are adventurous and like jumping off cliffs and drops in the rapids, he’ll do this with you. We are older and opted for a tamer experience, but still had tons of fun and didn’t feel we were missing out because we chose not to cliff jump. I only have video. I wish I could up load these.
Good for children and adults of all ages because he makes it YOUR trip.

Great family fun - What a great way to spend a day in Huatulco. We like active adventures and this one did not disappoint. We took our two teenage boys and everyone had a blast. There is some hiking, floating down the river, cliff jumping and lot of laughs. Cristian was a great guide and can adjust any of the activities to accommodate your fitness or comfort level. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something different to do while in town.

Fabulous adventure! - We loved it. Christian was interesting and knowledgeable. We hiked in and he showed us some spectacular view spots on the river, taught us how float down , jump off big rocks 😬 (fun!) and scoot down the rapids! And for those of us who weren’t always feeling brave he had easy alternative escape routes.
Truthfully, we didn’t realize what canyoning was when we signed up🙄 but ended up loving every minute.

Fun times in the river - We wanted to see what Huatulco has to offer besides diving and snorkeling trips and were lucky to find this tour. Even though the water level seemed somewhat low (end of October), our guide Cristian made sure that we'd get a great experience tailored to our expectations/needs. After hiking and scrambling up the river for a while we let ourselves float down the currents and even jumped down into some pools along the way. Definitely a trip to remember!
