An Eye-Openning Experience - This is a special and well-worth expereince in terms of the time and value. The tour guides are volunteers who are passionate about the helping people to understand the history of this countriy which was forbidden to spread within or otuisde this country for many years due to political oppressions.

So glad I did it - Great way to spend a few hours in Taipei. Leo is an exceptional guide -- engaging, knowledgeable, approachable, energetic. His talk on the steps of the Taipei Museum about the history of Taiwan was a highpoint, as was the subsequent talk about the 228 Incident.

Superb tour - A truly excellent tour. Bessy our guide spoke excellent English and contextualised the political and historical situation of Taiwan whilst also showing and explaining the historical sites with fascinating facts that further enhanced our enjoyment. We have undertaken many walking tours in a lot of cities and Bessy’s was one of the best. A brilliant introduction toTaipei and Taiwan.

Old Taipei walking tour - I found this tour online as I was trying to see what I should do as I had a day for myself as my husband went on a tour with his teammates. I registered the night before and it was so easy and the tour company was so organized. They sent me emails and calendar invites and reminders immediately. Leo was our tour guide and was very easily to identify. In fact, came up to me to to ask me whether I was part of the tour to check me in before Ibwent up to him. He was amazing and his English was excellent. He clearly explained the history and how Taiwan became what it is today historically and politically and explained how some of the neighbourhoods developed. It was an amazing day for a walk tour as it wasn’t so hot and humid as the rain cooled the air but it was sunny out. It was tip based and it was worth the tip that I gave.

We were informed about the history of Taiwan and some of the country’s culture, politics, and customs. At our request we received recommendations by QR code for various food and drink establishments. We highly recommend this tour.

Great and informative - What a wonderful tour – with the excellent duo Winnie and Andy who gave a thoughtful, thorough and captivating guide around some of the key landmarks in Taipei. They really brought the history or Taiwan to life and didn’t shy away from addressing and informing us of the two arguments in the nationalist debate. Fascinating and enjoyable. It was a shame that so many people who clearly enjoyed the time, really thought the tour was “free” and didn’t provide a gratuity. Shame on them.

History with a dash of fun - James was our guide who walked us through history of Taiwan with a dash of fun and pinch of anecdotes. Since it was a hot and humid day he ensured we were in the shade and got a chance to refill our water bottles. He took us to an ice cream store that serves some amazing flavours at the end of the trip which was much needed on a hot day.
