• Tianzi Mountain - Your guide and driver will meet you in your hotel lobby in the morning, and you’ll be transferred by private car to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Take a cable car up to visit Tianzi Mountain, known as “the Monarch of the Peak Forest.” You’ll see pine trees, the Yu Bi (Imperial Brushes) Peaks, Xihai Stone Forest, and other breathtaking views and scenery. Afterward, we’ll take a 5-minute shuttle bus ride (or a 15-minute walk if the bus line is long) to the Nod-to-the-General Platform (Dian Jiang Tai 点将台), located in a gorge filled with curling clouds and numerous tall rock pillars of various shapes. The tallest pillar, in the center, is called the “Emperor,” with the “Herald” reading an imperial edict to the “Soldiers” in front of it. The two “Prime Ministers” stand on the left and right, bowing. It is said that the Emperor of Xiang once reviewed his troops here.
• 空中田园 - Next, take a shuttle bus to Laowu Chang (老屋场), an undeveloped part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park situated between Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain. It is best reached by a locally hired van from Yuanjiaje, as it is off the usual travel route. The area’s scenery is stunning and awe-inspiring. Photographers consider the sunrise in Laowuchang a must-capture scene in Zhangjiajie.

We will also visit the ‘Sky Field Garden’ (Kongzhong Tianyuan 空中田园), a small area of paddy fields seemingly hanging on an outcrop surrounded by Zhangjiajie’s iconic peaks. These paddy fields are farmed by local ethnic people.

• Yuanjiajie - You’ll embark on a 1.5-hour hike to discover the Pillar of the Southern Sky, which inspired the famous “Hallelujah Mountains” in the blockbuster movie Avatar. Continue to the Platform of Forgetfulness to enjoy the nearby peak views, and then walk across the No. 1 Bridge under Heaven.
• BaiLong Elevator - Located in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, the Bailong Elevator is a magnificent sightseeing elevator and a UNESCO World Heritage site in China. It has a running height of 326 meters (1,069 feet), with 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height inside mountain wells and the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) composed of a steel derrick and other components.
