Unforgettable trip to Zhangjiajie with the exceptional guide Lina! - My wife, my daughter and I, all Colombians aged 52, 48 and 20 respectively, recently visited Zhangjiajie in China and were lucky enough to have the exceptional guide Lina. From the first moment, Lina captivated us with her deep knowledge of the region, her kindness and her personalized attention. Her passion for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was contagious, and thanks to her we were able to fully enjoy each place we visited. Lina guided us through breathtaking landscapes, such as Yuanjiajie, the Bailong Elevator, the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car, the Glass Bridge in the Grand Canyon, the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, the Jinbian Stream, Tianmen Mountain, the 99-Bend Highway, the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car, the Glass Skywalk and the Tiananmen Escalator. Each place had its own unique charm, and Lina made sure we didn't miss a thing. Lina not only provided us with accurate information about the history, geology and culture of the region, but also helped us understand the deep connection that exists between the people of Zhangjiajie and their natural environment. Her passion for environmental conservation was evident, and it inspired us to appreciate even more the beauty of this unique place. Beyond her knowledge and professionalism, Lina became a friend during our trip. Her warmth and kindness made us feel at home, and she was always willing to answer our questions and help us with anything we needed. Without a doubt, Lina is an exceptional guide and we highly recommend her to anyone planning to visit Zhangjiajie. Her knowledge, kindness and passion for the region make her the perfect guide to make your trip an unforgettable experience. Here is a brief description of some of the places we visited with Lina: Yuanjiajie: Famous for its towering sandstone pillars and lush green forests, Yuanjiajie is a place of breathtaking beauty. Here we were able to walk among the pillars, enjoy the panoramic views from the viewpoint and visit Huangshi Cave, a karstic cave with unique rock formations. Bailong Elevator: This world's tallest outdoor elevator offered us a unique experience as we ascended the Tianzi Mountain side. From the elevator cabin, we were able to enjoy breathtaking views of the park. Tianzi Mountain Cable Car: A ride on this cable car allowed us to closely observe the sandstone pillars and rock formations that characterize the Zhangjiajie landscape. The views from the top of Tianzi Mountain are simply spectacular. Glass Bridge in the Grand Canyon: Walking on this transparent glass bridge that stretches over the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon was an exciting and adrenaline-filled experience. The views of the canyon from the bridge are unparalleled. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon: This canyon, one of the deepest in the world, took our breath away with its immensity and natural beauty. We toured the canyon by boat, enjoying the views of the rock formations and lush vegetation. Jinbian Stream: A walk along this peaceful stream allowed us to relax and enjoy nature in its purest state. The crystal-clear water of the stream and the green surroundings create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Tianmen Mountain: This mountain, considered one of the most sacred in China, offers stunning panoramic views of the park. We reached the top of the mountain by cable car and were able to walk along the Glass Skywalk, a glass-floored path that allowed us to observe the landscape from a unique perspective. In short, our trip to Zhangjiajie was an unforgettable experience thanks to the exceptional guide Lina. Her knowledge, kindness and passion for the region make her the perfect guide for anyone who wants to discover the beauty of this unique place.

The best tour provider in the world - We travelled with very amazing impression on how good the provider, Eric as arranger and Mike as the tour guide for my trip. They delivered not only the best in giving advisory on the best itinerary (since our arrival is delayed) and services for my family but also the best in giving extramiles, such as helping me to get back my left behind passport at the plane with continous update and Thanks Eric, Mike and the while team. YOU ARE SUPERB and THE BEST TOUR PROVIDER I have experienced so far in our worldwide travel.

Zhangjiajie, The Real Avatar Experience. - We had a comprehensive 7 day tour (the actual time we were with him) which included Zhangjiajie area and other sites such as the Red Stone Forest, South Great Wall and historic Fenghuang. Eric guided and accompanied us on every walk- hours on our feet, up and down many steps (not a leisurely trip!), always encouraging and feeding us much information. Going to good photo spots. He also bought us to some interesting sites which was not mentioned in the itinerary. We chose our own lodging with a more local boutique flavour, which Eric reviewed, and all was ok. What is almost as important was knowing where to eat. Eric bought us to local restaurants/eating places which exposed us to many yummy flavours and interesting cooking. Not all food here is VERY hot and spicy, some cooking had blends of spices which resulted in very savory cuisine. We tried one "normal" dinner at the Pullman Hotel (as we had very good experiences at the major hotels at Li Jiang and other cities) but the food here was very mediocre. The car with competent driver included with tour was very comfortable. One time on the road we had a car problem- but a second comfortable car came in about 15 minutes, indicating a very reliable transport company. Eric also was familiar with some local residents who had permissible private car transport in Zhangjiajie, skipping ques and buses on several occasions. (Note general private cars are not allowed in Zhangjiajie). Only a couple cons: 1) the main attractions at Zhangjiajie are very crowded, and this was considered a slow period, though most of the walks had less people; 2) Eric's spoken English is not the best, though not a major problem. All in all, a very enjoyable trip- highly recommended.

An authentically local photography experience - ZJJ Review Go for this tour if you want an exclusively local and photography-centric tour. Eric knew very well that we wanted to avoid the massive crowds, and that we wanted to view scenic spots for videography and photography. His extensive knowledge of hidden spots, key timings and view points within Zhangjiajie enabled us to visit quite a few spots which only locals would know of. These places offered not just the serenity for you to capture in the magical landscape of Zhangjiajie, but also the best angles depending on the time of day & sun. We were very lucky to avoid most of the crowds, which is a huge concern for us since their presence could sometimes spoil an otherwise perfect shot. We are extremely thankful to Eric for putting together an itinerary which enabled us to experience the mountains seamlessly, from above, below and around. We stayed in a local tea inn for the first night after viewing the sunset from a remote hill across the tea fields. On the second day, we were able to experience more of the mountains from above, before moving down to the ground and viewing everything from below, by the stream. The walk was not easy, but it was certainly rewarding as being on the ground demonstrated the magnificent scale of these sandstone pillars which we could not have experienced from above. We were gifted with clear skies and great lighting! On the third day, we visited Tianmen Mountain. A sight to behold from near and far. We had to endure a queue to board the cable cars but this was expected. Eric knew where we could get the best angles of the 99 bends, and shared with us where to sit on the cable cars. True enough, we were able to capture some amazing shots with dramatic lighting. Without Eric’s knowledge of the local area, our tour would not have been as fruitful. He entertained us with so much local knowledge and lores about the mountains and on top of that, he brought us to places where we could experience the best local cuisines. His experience and extensive knowledge of the local area, his pleasant personality and his knowledge of photography made the entire tour worth while. If you are a photographer or a team of photographers looking to capture and learn more about Zhangjiajie, definitely go with Eric’s tour. He was communicative with us before during and after the tour, and guided us in make all the right bookings for this trip. We did not have to worry much about anything at all since he put together everything nicely, and all we needed to focus on was getting the perfect shots.

Zhangjiajie tour - Eric brought us around the highlights of Zhangjiajie such as Yuanjiajie, golden whip stream, tianmen mountain etc. The sights were beautiful. Eric would explain some history about each location before we embark on the sightseeing, hence giving more depth and meaning to the places of interest. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, recommended!

Fantastic 4 days with Eric! - Zhangjiajie is fantastic and Eric made our holiday extra special with his attention to detail. Everything was extremely well organized. Eric picked us up at the airport, explained the schedule to us in detail and reported promptly every morning to help us get going. He adjusted the schedule to take advantage of the weather (we got great pictures) and at every attraction everything was very well organized and explained to us. Eric is really passionate about his hometown, culture and food. He recommended great restaurants and food choices. His folklore stories are amazing to listen to. He's also a fantastic singer and treated us to amazing renditions of traditional Chinese love songs. While Zhangjiajie is easy to get around, if you don't speak mandarin and have less time on your hands, I would recommend having a tour guide and Eric is definitely one of the best. He loves his job and his city and he made sure we had a great time.
