Additional Information
This tour provides an opportunity to learn about Zanzibar’s history and various periods of colonization with our knowledgeable guide. You’ll visit historical sites such as the old slave market, Darajani market, the old fort, Freddy Mercury’s house, the House of Wonders, Tippu Tip’s house, and more.
Additionally, you’ll explore different spice plantations at a spice farm, where you can see cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, lemongrass, nutmeg, and other spices. The specific spice farm visited will depend on the day and your hotel location.
For the Prison Island (Giant Tortoise) tour, we’ll take a motorized boat from Stone Town to Prison Island, also known as Giant Tortoise or Changuu Island. Here, you’ll encounter giant tortoises and learn about the island’s rich history.
About Lunch: We offer complimentary local cuisine at our top Swahili restaurant in Stone Town. If you’re interested in lunch, please book a morning tour, as lunch is served from 12 PM to 2 PM. Outside of these hours, we can accommodate other dining preferences based on the client’s interests.

Amazing way to see Zanzibar! - Our guide Abu was amazing! Professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. The day was so enjoyable - spice farm, prison island d and stone town tour. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

The best experience in Zanzibar - Abu was so kind and accommodating. He ensured that we saw everything we wanted and within our time constraints. He was very informative and also personable. We really enjoyed our tour. We had no idea a water taxi was a speed boat thrill ride. We loved it.

Wonderful day spent in Zanzibar - We visited the Spice Farm, Prison Island and Stone town during the day tour. Our guide Abu is exceptionally caring and knowledgeable. He took good care of us during the tour and taught us history of Zanzibar and a lot of information about different spices. Would definitely recommend to join this tour!

Informative and fun! - What an amazing tour. Our guide, Abu, was very easy going, informative, and made us feel at ease. We had a lovely time in stone town and on prison island, he also took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch. We would definitely recommend him to other people and use this service again in the future!

The best Stone Town tour on the island - This was one of my best days in Zanzibar!
I was picked up from my hotel and taken to a spice farm near Stone Town, where I got to learn about all the different spices that are grown in Zanzibar.
Then we went into Stonetown to get a boat to prison island, where I saw the giant turtles and had a tour of the prison.
We then came back to Stone Town for a very informative walking tour and stopped for a traditional Swahili lunch, which was delicious.
I even got to see the East African slave tour exhibit upon request.
I was then dropped back to my hotel.
The tour guide and driver was friendly, informative, polite, patient, helpful, and down to earth.
I would recommend this tour to all as it is very inclusive and you get to see a large part of West Zanzibar in one day.
I even got to do some shopping too!

Wonderful tour with a knowledgeable guide - Abu and his driver provided a wonderful tour for us. Abu is knowledgeable and very proud of his country and was excited to share it with us. He was very accommodating and tailored the tour to our needs. We had a wonderful Swahili lunch even though Abu could not eat because of Ramadan. He arranged a driver for us to take us to dinner at night. We very much enjoyed our tour with Abu.

Our dream Zanzibar with Abu guide - Picked up on time and went straight to spice tour and see different spices, our guide was very knowledgeable and kind which made us comfortable with the trip.
After spice tour we went to stone town and walked around the old town it was also amazing further more we tested Swahili food ( lunch ) with our fastest guide who helped us to have nice table coz the place is well packed. After lunch we went to prison island by water taxi and got time to see giant tortoise as well
Overall, I highly recommend this trip to everyone and I can't thank enough our guide Abu for making this trip nice. Asante Sana

Nice way to get some highlights! - Abuu, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and he adjusted things as we went based on what we wanted to do. The visit to Prison Island was short and felt a bit rushed, but it was a highlight. Abuu knew a lot about the history of StoneTown, so we really enjoyed learning from him and lunch was delicious. We had a different guide at the spice farm, and while our visit was great and very informational, there were parts that felt like they were just seeking money. A huge bonus was that this tour included a ride to and from our hotel (which was a long way!).

Interesting experience - Abu was a friendly and informative guide. The tour will benefit from the reopening of the museum. The lunch of assorted carbohydrates was not for the gastronome I am sure there more interesting forms of Swahili food
