- Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park - Jozani Forest National Park is the only national park in Zanzibar and is well-known for its Red Colobus Monkeys, which are unique to Zanzibar. Other species found here include Sykes monkeys, bush babies, over 50 species of butterflies, and 40 species of birds. Butterflies and birds are most commonly seen in the early morning or evening.
In Jozani Forest, there are various types of plants, some of which are used for medicinal purposes, construction, furniture, and other uses.
After exploring Jozani Forest, visitors can enjoy a mangrove boardwalk, where they will learn about mangroves and their role in preventing coastal erosion.
