An unforgettable safari in Mikumi National Park - My husband and I went on a one-day safari to Mikumi National Park with Safari Gateway. It was a fantastic day, a true African adventure. Our driver-guide Fidelis was excellent, a true encyclopedia of wildlife and nature. In addition to sharing lots of information and interesting facts with us, he made sure we saw all the animals that were possible to see in the park at that time of day and year. An unforgettable experience! - Absolutely beautiful! A visit to do when you come to Zanzibar. A guide that gives us clear explanations about the fauna and flora and introduces us to these beautiful animals of the savannah. Buffet dinner very well Flight from Zanzibar on top!

An Amazing and Adventurous Christmas!!! Thank you Tanzania and thank you Fidelis!! - We are a family of 6 and the safari was the best experience of our life!! Our guide Fidelis was the best!! We were able to see Lions, elephants, giraffes and many other Animals and be very close to them. Everything is well organized. The Mkata floodplain was alive with activity – giraffes gracefully walking among the acacia trees, elephants strolling in groups, and a pride of lions resting in the shade. The highlight of the day was spotting a hippo pool teeming with activity and catching a glimpse of crocodiles sunbathing nearby. Our guide was phenomenal, offering fascinating insights about the animals, their behaviors, and the park’s ecosystem. Their expertise ensured we didn’t miss any key sightings and made the trip educational as well as exciting. Despite being a day trip, it felt like we covered so much. The park’s compact yet diverse terrain allows for an action-packed experience without feeling rushed. It’s also a great option for those looking for an affordable and accessible safari experience. If you’re looking for a chance to immerse yourself in Tanzania’s incredible wildlife but are short on time, a day trip to Mikumi National Park with Safari Gateway is an absolute must. Fantastic day out in Mikumi - Fantastic experience! We were slightly delayed in getting going but that aside the journey to Mikumi was smooth, we ended up being part of a group of 12 people which was then split in half once we landed to explore the park in two smaller groups. This worked really well and it wasn’t long before we started seeing animals which was amazing! The guides we had were knowledgable and answered any questions we had, they also had water and some snacks (biscuits) and juice on board. We did stop for two food breaks which was nice and welcomed meaning we could chat amongst ourselves and take photos etc. Ad said by many it appears to be luck of the draw as to what animals you will see given it’s a day experience, we saw elephants, lions, zebras and giraffes. Our day came to a bit of an abrupt end as the rain started coming down very heavily this was at around 3pm, we made our way back to take the plane. Please note that the plane journey back we were told it was going to be a bit bumpy due to the weather (which it was), the pilot did a fantastic job so there wasn’t any issues, just more so for those (myself included) that aren’t used to travelling in smaller aircraft that you will feel more of the turbulence than a traditional commercial airline. I’d definitely repeat a similar experience again as a day for me travelling around the park was plenty and very enjoyable!

Tanzania Safari and Recreation in Zanzibar - From Arusha with Paradise Safaris.com into Tarangire NP, then Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti NP. We have seen many animals (Big5) and had great experiences. Our guide was very professional and took good care of us. The accommodations were great and varied. From luxurious lodges to Tented Lodge.. and always a great experience. From the arrival in Arusha to the departure from Stonetown (Zanzibar) everything worked out fine. Even short-term change requests were met without any problems. A big praise and a big thank you to our travel provider! Communication before our trip was also always exemplary - and we had many questions that were always answered quickly. 6 days safari, then 6 days Zanzibar for recreation and processing of impressions we can only recommend. We were on the road in November 2024, which was due to the difficult scheduling on our part (6 people with different schedules to get together was not easy). Weatherwise we were lucky - rain only in a late afternoon, otherwise always nice. We were amazed not only by the rich wildlife, but also by the mostly green national parks - and each park has a different character. Incredibly beautiful is the Nogorongoro Crater!

A must- do!!! - This was a dream come true experience and I 100% recommend this if you're visiting Zanzibar. It's worth the price! From beginning to end all I could say was wow! Don't skip this!

Incredible safari experience - a must book! - This trip was a dream and the whole day was just incredible. So well organised and facilitated by the members of the team from those meeting & greeting at the airport to the friendly pilots, and we were very fortunate to have Felix and Gerard as our tour guides. Both were enthusiastic, knowledgable and entertaining that made this once in a lifetime trip the best. Thank you all for such a great trip!
