  The tour takes you to small spice gardens and farms in Zanzibar’s rural areas, where local communities cultivate a variety of spices, including nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, and many other medicinal and ornamental plants, along with a variety of tropical fruits grown in Zanzibar.
  It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn how different plants are used for herbal medicine, traditional ceremonies, and local Zanzibar cuisines, which are integral to daily life in Zanzibar.

This tour is a combination of two different tourist attractions, namely; Stone Town and Spice Farm. The tour normally starts at Stone Town where travelers will explore swahili culture and different types of architects from different foreign influences.

The tour then continues to the local community spice farm which is 25 minutes of drive from Stone Town and here travelers will learn more of the reason why Zanzibar is referred as a Spice Island.

Travelers will explore spice plants and fruit trees, they will learn how fruits and spices are grown, harvested and even used as for cooking or as medicines.
