Highlights
  • Zakynthos - Start your unique adventure with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation or hotel anywhere on the island, using our VIP Mercedes-Benz minivan (for 6 people) or luxury M-Benz minibus (for 8-12 people). Your friendly, professional local guide-driver will provide you with a free map of Zakynthos and brief you on the exciting tour ahead. As we head to the boat, you’ll enjoy views of olive groves, vineyards, diverse landscapes, rugged yet lush mountains, traditional village houses, old churches, and stunning panoramic views of the turquoise sea waters along the northeast and northwest coasts until we reach our next stop.
  • Porto Vromi - Porto Vromi is a picturesque bay with a couple of beaches on Zakynthos’ west coast. Although there’s no direct link between them, we’ll arrive from the Anafonitria side. Descending the mountain road with its many bends, the scenery is magnificent, with the sea penetrating the cove surrounded by rocks, offering great views of the entire port from above. Inside a small fjord, this place is spectacular to see from above the idyllic bay. You’ll admire Anafonitria’s iconic small shallow beach (about 25m wide), with its small white pebbles, crystal clear deep, cool water, and many sea urchins. From this small port, we’ll board a small to medium-sized boat, allowing us to enter some amazing small caves. It takes about 20 minutes to sail along the west coast, which is full of little caves and scenic views of high cliffs that plunge into the sea.
  • Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach) - Discover the location that makes this island so unique, Navagio or Shipwreck Beach, with its clear white pebble sands. As you approach, you’ll be greeted by the spectacular turquoise color of the water. The beach is closed for safety reasons due to landslide risks. Although we can’t land on the beach, our captain will bring the boat right up to the shoreline so you can take photos of the wreck without any tourists around. It’s a memory you won’t forget. We’ll stop for a swim at Sfogio Beach, close to Navagio, which is safe to explore and also features stunning pebble shores.
  • Blue Caves - Sailing back along Zakynthos’ west coastline, the blend of emerald waters, beautiful seabed, sheltered coves, secluded beaches, and amazing blue caves is truly special. The blue caves are one of the island’s most famous attractions after Shipwreck Beach. These natural wonders, formed by continual erosion of the cliffs by the sea, create a series of magical chambers. The Blue Caves are named for the sapphire color cast by sunlight shimmering through the water and reflecting into the caves. Our small-medium boat allows us to enter some of the small, undiscovered caves for about 20 minutes (larger boats can’t), and you can also enjoy swimming and snorkeling inside one of them, with breathtaking natural turquoise seawaters painting the limestone and everything around you in a stunning, ethereal blue (including you).
  • Sfogio Beach - We’ll stop for a swim at this white, secluded, and originally pebbled beach, a characteristic example of Zakynthos’ natural beauty. This well-hidden and rather unfrequented beach is perfect for swimming or snorkeling. You’ll see with your own eyes the turquoise, transparent, and crystal clear waters, and admire the unparalleled beauty of the impressive tall white cliffs and the naked rocks emerging from the sea. Simply another hidden gem on Zakynthos.
  • Face Of Poseidon - We continue our 3-hour boat trip, exploring more caves, each one more unique than the last. The final stop is the magnificent Poseidon Cave at Porto Vromi Bay. Next to it, there’s a natural rock formation where you can easily spot the stunning face of Poseidon, the god of the sea, storms, earthquakes, and horses. Don’t worry, the captain will get close to the face so you can capture the best Instagram pictures, while the guide shares ancient Greek myths about Poseidon.
  • Anafonitria - Stop for lunch (at your own expense) at a typical Greek, Zakynthian family-run taverna named Galaxy, located in Anafonitria, a small mountain village with views of green hills, just 3 kilometers from the shipwreck viewpoint. Yiayia (grandmother in Greek) Dimitra runs the kitchen, offering very tasty home-cooked traditional dishes with fresh homegrown vegetables, homemade wine, and desserts. The rest of the family treats you like a family member or friend. This authentic taverna in a mountain village offers a very nice atmosphere, a good menu, sensible prices, and very generous dishes.
  • Navagio Beach - We’ll head here at midday, the perfect time when the sun makes the sea sparkle in many shades of turquoise. The area is filled with greenery, especially rosemary and sage. From the platform, you’ll be able to see and photograph what is considered one of the 30 most beautiful beaches in the world. However, from here you can’t see the entire cove or the whole shipwreck. For safety reasons, you’ll follow the guide on a 10-minute walk along a stony path leading to a high promontory facing the sea, where you’ll capture the best photos of the iconic cove and shipwreck in the background. The water is so clear that when you take pictures of boats from above, it seems as if they are floating over the water instead of touching it.
  • Exo Chora - The famous 2,000-year-old olive tree is located in the village of Exo Chora on Zakynthos island. It’s one of the seven oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean and probably one of the oldest in the world. There’s no agreed-upon scientific method to determine the age of olive trees, but this ancient tree is believed to be at least 2,000 years old based on tree ring analysis. It still produces olives to this day. This location was one of the main filming sites for the famous Korean drama “Descendants of the Sun.”

Great (but not just a boat trip) - We've had a great day. It is very valuable to do the early tour because it was still quiet on the water and on the beaches. Sailing with a boat with only 7 people is very pleasant and we were lucky that our skipper was a gutsy guy who sailed us full speed around all kinds of rocks and went far into small narrow caves that the big boats certainly do not enter. In one of the caves we could even jump off the boat for a swim. Magic. We went swimming a number of times which is beautiful in the super blue water. Unfortunately we could not go to the vantage point for the shipwreck because of forest fire danger from a heat wave. What we missed in the description of the trip is that you spend a lot of the day in the van. With air conditioning fortunately and it is beautiful to view the landscape this way. But there were also two stops where we were dropped off at a store to buy local products. They were nice shops and especially the olive oil shop was special and has unique products. But it would be fair to add this in the description because it is indeed part of the tour. Otherwise totally top notch, I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone going to Zakynthos.

Unforgettable experience - recommended tour - The organization by Dalí Tours was professional and we felt in good hands. Our guide George (5 stars for him personally!) was a motivated, friendly and good-humored tour guide from start to finish, who looked after each individual well. Highlights were the view from the cliff of Shipwreck Bay (Navagio Beach), the visit to the White Beach and swimming in one of the impressive caves. The breaks at the Taverna Galaxy were well timed to fit the tour (toilet and refreshment), the staff were friendly, very quick and the quality and price of the food and drink were also completely fine. At all of the viewpoints, George not only provided information and humor, but also his photographic talent to create unforgettable memories. There were two small points of criticism: Firstly, the group size was significantly larger than stated in the description, and secondly, there was an unannounced and, in our opinion, unnecessary stop purely for souvenir shopping at a rather ordinary street stall. At the beginning of the trip there was a short stop on the Bohali hill, from where we had a fantastic view of Zakynthos town. Overall, an unforgettable experience and a tour that is absolutely recommended!

Nice experience but different than expected with bad food. - The tour itself was fine, but the guide told very little and it all felt very rushed. The restaurant for lunch was the same as where we had coffee that morning. The food was tasteless, cold and relatively high priced. The view of the shipwreck was beautiful! The tour on the boat was fun, but we didn't go all the way into the caves by boat. Only the back of the boat sailed a bit into the cave. We were able to swim in a cave. It was not the Blue Caves in the north of the island but near the shipwreck. The last stop at the farm was mainly commercial: quick information and then the question whether you wanted to buy something. We only had a brief look at the (few) animals.

RIDICULOUS!! - Don't book here. We went first to the olive oil thing, where we were for 2 hours. Then we went to the boat but there was too much wind so we had to wait an hour to only have to go on a very large boat for about an hour. Then drove to the view point which was closed so did not take place. Then I went to random beach to entertain the time. They are not even looking for a solution, also had nothing kwa compensation!! It's ridiculous. SCAM, and we pay 85 pp for this?
