King Tomislav Statue - Tomislav (pronounced [tǒmislaʋ], Latin: Tamisclaus) was the inaugural king of Croatia. He ascended as Duke of Croatia around 910 and was crowned king in 925, ruling until 928. Under Tomislav’s leadership, Croatia allied with the Byzantine Empire against Bulgaria. The conflicts with the First Bulgarian Empire eventually escalated into war, culminating in the significant Battle of the Bosnian Highlands in 926. In the north, Croatia frequently clashed with the Principality of Hungary, maintaining its borders and even expanding into the fragmented Lower Pannonia.

It is situated near the central Ban Jelačić Square, midway to the Main Railway Station.
