Etna Wine Experience
Embark on a delightful journey to two Etna wineries for tastings and a traditional Sicilian lunch. This is an ideal experience for those seeking genuine local flavors.
The tour leader will collect guests at 9:00 a.m. from their hotel in Catania or a designated meeting point, transporting them in one of our comfortable 8-seater vehicles.
The tour begins with a visit to the charming town of Zafferana Etnea, known for its encounters with Etna’s lava and its reputation as the Sicilian honey capital. Around 11:00/11:30 a.m., guests will arrive at the first winery to begin the Etna Wine tasting, accompanied by an aperitif featuring local delicacies. A stroll through the vineyards will provide insights into their production processes.
The journey continues to a second winery, where guests will savor a full lunch made with fresh, local ingredients, paired with three Etna DOC wines. After lunch, there will be an opportunity to explore the vineyards further and delve into the fascinating world of natural wine.

- English and Italian guides are always available, French and Spanish are subject to availability. Upon booking, we will confirm you if the language required is available.

Giovanni was wonderful.... - Giovanni was wonderful. Huge passion for what he does and the knowledge to go with it. Lovely day tour with lots to take in. Great!

Excellent excursion - Everything organized to perfection already during Reservation. We were picked up at our hotel by minibus and dropped off at no extra cost. We were also provided with footwear because our sneakers were not suitable.
Exciting ethnic tour, fascinating views and beautiful Alcantara gorges, we had the courage to swim despite the icy water. Lunch and tasting of quality wines.
Special thanks to our Guide Giovanni, who in addition to being very prepared and professional was super welcoming, helpful and nice. We were a mixed group of Italians and foreigners and he was able to make us all participate by speaking and providing explanations in our language and English. To recommend to everyone.

A must experience! - This tour was beyond our expectations.
The vineyards were incredible, especially the first one Emilio’s.
We learned a lot with the presenters.
The tour guide, Andrea, was extremely knowledgeable, he answered all our questions in deepth.
His English fluency and vocabulary were great. The pick-up was perfectly on time, he was very polite and courteous.
At the end of our tour, after we were dropped off at the our Hotel, my son noticed he did not have his wallet.
We sent a message to the office through whatsapp and immediately they checked the van and Andrea, kindly drove back to our hotel with the wallet. What relief! Thanks for all the care and attention.

Beautiful Mama Etna and its luscious vineyards. - From start to finish the experience was amazing. The communiation was excellent, keeping us informed at all times. Flavia was our driver and tour guide, she was excellent and attentive, telling us stories about Sicily and 'Mama Etna' whilst driving between the vineyards. The vineyard experience was brilliant, interesting and so impormative. The settings were beautiful, like something out of a movie. The vineyard owner brought out a little cake for my friend as they found out it was my birthday.

Book with them for a personal and customized experience - I read great reviews of Etna Experience before contacting them. They far surpassed my expectations. I contacted them about a bespoke wine tour, as there were specific wineries I wanted to visit. I dealt mostly with Helena, who was very responsive to emails and just amazing! Our driver to the wineries, Giovanni, was fantastic. He told us so much about Sicily - things you cannot learn from a guidebook. He was so lovely. We also booked transfers from Catania to Taormina and Taormina to Messina. Our driver was great and gave us wonderful tips. Everything happened on time, which we appreciated. We had such an incredible experience with everyone on the Etna Experience team. They really care that you have a great experience.

Etna experience tour operator. - Excellent staff and tour. Federica and Helena were efficient, patient and attentive.
Mirko, our guide and driver, was both knowledgeable and a safe driver. Very important in Sicily.

Great tour, no volcano. - It was very nice but did NOT include exploring the volcano at all. The three wineries were good, two at the vineyard, one not. Giovani was very informative with great history of Catania. Very nice and good English. I recommend but not if you want to go to the volcano.

Not much ‘vineyard tour’, but good wine! - Our guide was brilliant- very friendly, chatty and polite. The tour stops consisted of wine tastings and a walk of no more than 100m into the vineyards to be told about the history of the sites. We expected more of the ‘tour’ part, but neither vineyard actually produce the wine on site, so there wasn’t really much to look at! The wine was nice, and particularly the second stop with lunch was very good. We bought sparkling wine from the 2nd vineyard and honey from the first stop - so well worth the trip, and as I said- very enjoyable!
As a side note- I have no idea why there are currently photos of treks up Etna attached to this tour on Trip Advisor, the wonder into the vineyards could be done in flip flops, and you’re distance from the main slope of Etna proper!

You don’t visit Edna!! Only wine tour - This trip is NOT a trip to Etna. This was ONLY a wine tour near Etna. We did not do any tracking, visit caves or anything although it said so in the description. We were very disappointed. As we went home the next day we did not get to visit Edna. But a fine wine tour 🙃
