Zadar expert Tour - A superb tour from Ante who lives and breaths Zadar. His historical knowledge was insightful and he paired it with a modern perspective. If you come to Zadar, you should be doing this tour! Its clear from his knowledge that he has studied history which is fascinating when coupled with the influence on the city since WW2.

A beautiful and genuine city tour - We did the Zadar walking tour with Ante as our tour guide. He told us about the very interesting history of Zadar while showing us the most beautiful parts of the city. His passion for history and his city were contagious and felt really genuine. He's lived his entire life between the city walls and you could really tell by the way he showed us around in Zadar. Ante's perspective about mass tourism was also very interesting to hear. He's very passionate about giving personal and authentic experiences to the people visiting Zadar and really pleads to shop locally (even showing us a few of his favorite local shops on the tour) and to be conscious of our behavior as tourists. During this time and age, where many countries are feeling the negative effects of mass tourism, this was a really refreshing and appreciated stance to hear from a tour guide. I really recommend doing this tour at the start of your visit to Zadar since Ante shows you all the cozy alleyways you might miss when you visit the city on your own. During the tour he's also very open for conversation and can recommend the best places to eat and drink, away from the usual touristy places. This tour was one of my favorite things to do in Zadar, especially because it started at 18h30 and ended at sunset, so you didn't have to walk through the city during the blazing heat and could catch the beautiful sunset at the sea organ. I heavily recommend it to everyone planning to visit.

A Heartfelt Walk Through Zadar - Walking through Zadar’s old city center with our guide was like seeing it through the eyes of a true local. His family has lived here for generations, and he shared a perfect mix of history, personal stories, and fun anecdotes from his youth, as well as from his father and grandfather. The highlight was being welcomed into his own historic home and backyard – a rare and special experience. We also got some recommendations about local drinks we could drink. His passion for Zadar is infectious, and by the time we reached the famous sunset, we felt like we’d truly connected with the city.

Local colour, flavour, and texture - Its a cliche to say that the guide brought things to life, but...damn it... sometimes cliches are true. We were tired... hot, and had been up for hours (we nearly didn't go) but he energized us through his energy for the city. Highly recommended

Informative and really fun! - This was a fabulous tour! Our guide Ante was impressively knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely excited to share his love of his city with us. As we walked around the old town Ante told us about the history of Zadar and it’s people and about life today. At the end of the tour he hung around to answer questions and give tips about where to eat, drink, explore, etc. If possible I would give Ante more than 5 stars. Very highly recommended! /Cindy
