- Greeting to the Sun - Il Saluto al Sole - Tours start at 9 a.m. in Spanish and 6 p.m. in English. This renowned installation, located in the western part of Zadar Old Town, was designed by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić. The floor circles covered with solar panels represent the solar system.
- Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje) - A famous and unique installation by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić. This instrument, consisting of 35 tubes placed beneath the sea surface, is played solely by nature.
- Roman Forum - The remains of a Roman Forum dating from the 1st to 3rd century AD. This central square, the heart of the Roman town, is surrounded by fragments of ancient architecture that form part of an open-air Archaeological Museum.
- Church of St. Donatus - A 9th-century pre-Romanesque church reflecting Zadar’s complex position in the early Middle Ages. Originally built as part of an episcopal complex, it was not meant to be seen from the outside.
- Zadar Cathedral - A 12th-century Romanesque cathedral dedicated to St. Anastasia, a martyr saint whose relics are housed inside the church. It is the largest cathedral in Dalmatia, highlighting Zadar’s importance in the region.
- Church of St. Krsevan - A 12th-century church with the most beautiful Romanesque apses in Dalmatia, dedicated to one of the town’s four patron saints. Adjacent to the church are the remains of a monastery of the male Benedictine order.
- People’s Square - The main city square, designed in the 12th century as a center of social life and civil authorities. These traditions have continued to the present day, with facilities supporting both functions.
- Church of St. Simon - The oldest church in Dalmatia, where ceremonies have been held continuously since the 5th century. Renovated in the 17th century to house the relic of St. Simeon, which is placed in a golden and silver shrine.
- Five Wells - A Renaissance square offering views of city walls from two different epochs. It stands as a testament to the need to fortify the city again in the 16th century under the threat of a new conqueror.
- Queen Jelena Madijevka Park - The first public park in Dalmatia, opened in the 19th century. This green oasis in a stone city offers a beautiful view of a small port, city walls, and The Land Gate.

Meet your guide at the latest installation in town, Greeting to the Sun, and embark on a journey through 3000 years of history. Stroll towards the remnants of the Roman Forum and learn about the Church of St. Donatus, Zadar’s iconic symbol built in the 9th century. Discover the significance of the nearby St. Mary’s Convent. Pass by the St. Anastasia Bell Tower on your way to visit the Melia Aniana Arch. Pause to capture photos of the stunning Romanesque apses of the Church of St. Chrysogonus. Continue your walk to the Zadar food market to sample some local produce before heading to the People’s Square. Here, you’ll find one of the hidden gems not marked on city maps. Next, you’ll see the remains of three eastern entrances to the Old Town of Zadar. The tour concludes in Queen Jelena Madijevka Park, where you can take beautiful photos of the picturesque scenery.
