We arrived and returned on the bus booked in advance. - It's interesting to see how it used to be and to buy cheeses and also to eat original Dutch pancakes.

Great and infromative tour - This was a really great tour. It lasts around 25 minutes and is well worth it. Our guide on this particular day was Dave and he was awesome. He gave us a lot of very useful information and historical information on the area. He was super nice and very funny as well. Its a great way to see the windmills from the water and to learn about them and the areas as well. I highly recommend this tour!!

Little factual knowledge and misinformation. - The skipper knows virtually nothing about Dutch history and completely bends it to his will. The information about the mills is only partially correct. Does not speak Dutch

Unbelievable, no one ever showed up! - Hi. I booked a tour for 5 people the day before, a boat ride along the canals to see the Windmills of Zaanse Schans. We arrived at the designated departure point 35 minutes early and waited. We waited well past the scheduled departure time, but no one, and I mean no one, ever showed up at the meeting point! Asking around I was told that the same thing had happened twice that day, and apparently it happens quite often! Luckily the Windmills can be seen very well even just walking alongside them, or book your boat tour directly on site!! It's worth it!
