Fantastic Day! - Philip was an absolutely wonderful guide for our day trip to visit the windmills, cheese and clog making demonstrations and a beautiful tour of the outskirts of Amsterdam! He got us exclusive access to a windmill that doesn't normally allow tourists. It was fascinating seeing the workings from the inside! We also had a personal cheese making and clog making demonstration. Philip also took us to a lovely waterfront restaurant for lunch. We enjoyed talking with him as he not only had a ton of knowledge about Amsterdam and the Netherlands, but of the rest of the world as well. Everyone in the family, including my 10 and 12 year old kids thought this was a fantastic day and a true highlight of our visit to Amsterdam. We would all recommend this trip!

A tour beyond our expectations! - Our tour with Phillip was beyond our expectations. We went to Zaanse Schans windmill village, Edam, Simonehoeve cheese and clog factory and the beautiful fishing village of Monnickendam where we also had a delicious lunch. Beyond that we visited beautiful countrysides, saw old homes, farms and meadows with the huge Holstein cows. In the quiet and quaint village of Broek we saw a unique church with a bar at the alter. (Yes, there is a story but I will leave that to Phillip to share). Phillip was not only friendly and made us feel so comfortable and welcome but he was a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much from him and his experiences it just made our tour much more meaningful. We went to places we would never have seen on a larger tour and our experience at the windmill seeing the windmill actually working was most enjoyable. Phillip was truly passionate about sharing his knowledge and we so appreciated our time with him. Want to see the real Amsterdam? Then you really must do this tour with Phillip. Thank you Phillip!!!!

Teun is among the finest tour guides out there. - Teun will bring you outside the usual places. He’s great. He’s nice. He’s untiring. Church with a bar. Farm with animals. Dine at a small town. So many surprises.

Simply the best! - Philip H. was so knowledgeable about the places we went to. We learned so much about the windmills and how they were used in the past and what is happening today. We were able to go see Linseed oil being made and were surprised at how this seed (flax seed) is used to make paint. Then he told us how the Dutch and Brits use it. Then he took us off the beaten path to see beautiful small towns, taste and learn about cheese as well as see wooden shows being made. The icing on the cake was the lunch we had in a church that also is a cemetery inside. Philip was also very engaging and accommodating to some mobility issues we had. I have taken quite a few private tours and Philip and this tour are at the top of my list!
