Directions to the meeting point: Driving on the R315 to Yzerfontein just at the beginning of the town(just after Buildit hardware) you will find a gravel road to your right signposted Strandkombuis. Follow the road until you see our sign post on the right and a turn in to the right.

The most incredible day - This was a highlight of our 2 week visit in South Africa. Dominique was absolutely fantastic , her farm is amazing . Me , my husband and our 8 year old daughter went on horse ride through the most beautiful surroundings, saw giraffes in the wild and ended up on the prettiest white beach . We are very much beginners to horse riding but managed 2.5 hours ! And what an experience that was ! One I will never forget ! Great and very supportive staff! Thank you !

Returned for 2nd time, great morning riding - Second time at this ranch, this time brought the kids. Everyone had a great experience and the guides are really friendly and the horses are well cared for. Would highly recommend.

West coast horse trails - Dominique and her crew are absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed 3 days of horse riding with them, including a fantastic beach ride (wow!) a safari ride including zebra and giraffes and many other animals and a horseback safari ride at Khwa ttu reserve with fantastic views and more incredible wildlife. (Followed by lovely meal in the restaurant ) The guides are incredible and looked after us so well. Dominique horses are all well cared for. We had the pleasure of riding the same horses for all 3 rides, which suited us perfectly. The horses were well mannered and responsive, and nicely sure footed! We both highly recommend riding here.

Absolutely recommend - Place is at a fantastic location close to a huge magnificent beach and in the middle of a small nature reserve. The horses are very well taken care of, fit and extremely well trained and easy to ride. Denzel, my guide for the day was super friendly, helpful and competent and manged to find Mama Giraffe with her few week old offspring for me (hidden behind a bush - yes Giraffes can do that! ;- ) ) . I enjoyed my time on Pavarotti very much (no, he didn't sing.. )

A wonderful experience - This was a fabulous experience! The team were great and very patient. We were a mixed party, with one experienced rider and one who had never sat on a horse before! But our guide made us both feel very comfortable and safe. Beautiful place, beautiful horses and beautiful memories, thank you so much!

Not for beginners - Dominique was lovely and the horses were beautiful, unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Unlike the previous reviewer we found the horses very unsettled & hard to manage (I have a fair amount of riding experience), they spent a large part of the ride trying to bite or kick each other and the guides had trouble controlling their own horses. Our 4 children with little or no riding experience were unable to prevent their horses from bolting at different points in the ride. Towards the end the guide lost the leading reign for my 9yr old and his horse bolted with him through trees causing him to be knocked out by the branches. I would not recommend this for inexperienced or very young riders.
