• Kuixinglou - We’ll pick up our travelers at their hotel and get started at 1:00 PM. Our first stop is Kui-Xing-Lou, a unique Chongqing-style building with tricky floors. This building has two street levels: the 1st floor and the 22nd floor, and at the same time, it’s also the 10th floor. How is that possible? There’s only one way to find out.

• HongYaDong JiuBa Jie - Next, we move on to Chongqing’s top attraction, Hong-Ya-Dong, a charming cliffside structure by the Jialing River. We’ll stroll through an old neighborhood and then take a boardwalk nearby, which offers the best view of this nostalgic building and a close-up of downtown. The highlight, however, is the night view, which we’ll save for later.

• Liziba Station - Our next stop is the trendy Li-Zi-Ba monorail station, where a monorail train passes through an apartment building, and the station is located inside it. There’s a platform across the street where travelers can get a close and clear shot of the entire scene.

• People’s Assembly Hall - Then, we’ll visit The People’s Assembly Hall, a magnificent Manchurian-style building and a landmark of Chongqing. It closely resembles the Temple of Heaven in Beijing’s Forbidden City but is almost three times larger. Built in the 1950s, it may not be ancient, but it is splendid.

• Ciqikou (Porcelain Port) - Next, we head to Ci-Qi-Kou old town, a traditional riverside neighborhood with over 1,000 years of history. It’s likely the most popular old town in China due to its well-preserved state and downtown location. It’s a lively spot for both tourists and locals, featuring traditional restaurants, tea houses, and various shops along an old flagstone street. It’s like a Chinatown within China, full of fun.

• Shangqingsi Residential District - It’s now dinner time, and we’ll recommend a local neighborhood restaurant where you can try some family-style cuisine. Contrary to popular belief, not all Sichuan food is spicy; we have plenty of non-spicy options that you’ll love. Dinner is on us.

• Danzishi Old Street Scenic Area - After dinner, we’ll head to Nanbin Road, a Yangtze riverside sightseeing road across from downtown Chongqing, to enjoy the spectacular night view of Yuzhong Peninsula (downtown Chongqing). This brand-new mall across the Yangtze offers the best view of the city’s splendid nightscape.

• Chongqing Theater - Our final stop is Chongqing Theater, another excellent viewing spot for the night view of Hong-Ya-Dong and a close-up of downtown Chongqing. It will feel like the dream castle from the Oscar-winning Japanese film “Spirited Away.” You will be impressed.
