Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre - Next, the tour proceeds to the Red Centre’s indigenous interpretive cultural centre, offering an opportunity to learn about the cultural, ecological, historical, and geological importance of this unique national park.
Mutitjulu Waterhole - With growing anticipation and excitement, a short drive leads to the base of Uluru, where the immense size and magnificence of the monolith can be appreciated up close. Walking to Mutitjulu Waterhole, visitors discover sacred rock art sites in family caves and hear the creation stories of Kuniya and Liru while continuing the base walk towards Kuniya Piti. From there, the drive continues around sacred sites towards Kantju Gorge, where the highest waterfall in Central Australia can be envisioned, especially spectacular when raining, along with an elders cave and the world’s oldest pantry.

Equipped with water, a hat, and sturdy shoes, the group sets off on foot to explore the most seasonally applicable part of the canyon in more detail.
Standley Chasm and Tjoritja West MacDonnell Ranges to Alice Springs
Ormiston Gorge - The exploration of the West MacDonnell Ranges unfolds amidst the towering red walls of Ormiston Gorge. Breakfast is enjoyed within this awe-inspiring natural wonder, taking a moment to appreciate the immense geological forces that shaped this landscape. Keep an eye out for native wildlife emerging with the rising sun.
Ellery Creek Big Hole - A refreshing dip in the Ellery Creek Big Hole (Udepata in Arrernte) follows. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and sandy Ellery Creek, this permanent waterhole offers a welcome respite in the arid outback.

This tour offers guests the option to start in Alice Springs or Yulara/Ayers Rock, please advise flight details at the time of booking. This tour finishes in Alice Springs Only.
- A minimum moderate to advanced level of fitness is required to complete the walks. Therefore a medium/high level of fitness is required and a doctor’s certificate is required for people over 75 years (30 days prior to travel).
- The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time of booking. This is a very physical tour and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility.
- Children aged between 8 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under, due to safety requirements and the level of fitness required to complete the walk.
- Please advise at time of booking whether you require a hire of a sleeping bag?
- Guests are asked to participate in the preparation of meals, clean up and vehicle unpacking/loading, so everyone can relax together after a long day of touring. It’s also a great way to get to know and connect with your fellow travellers.
