- Mt. Yufu Trailhead - The Yufu-dake trailhead serves as the starting point for ascending to the summit, with the Yufu-dake Main Trailhead being the most frequently used. This trailhead is conveniently accessible, offering a parking lot and restrooms, and is known for a course that is relatively safe for beginners. It can also be reached by bus from JR Yufuin Station and Beppu Station.

- Lake Kinrin - Kinrin Lake is a notable scenic location of Yufuin Onsen in Oita Prefecture, Japan. Its name is derived from the sight of fish scales shimmering with golden light at sunset, as noted by Confucian scholar Mori Kōsō during the Meiji period. This small lake is famous for its autumn foliage, the mystical morning mist that envelops it in winter, and the hot spring water that bubbles up from its depths, drawing numerous visitors to appreciate its beauty. Visitors can stroll along the lake, enjoying the scenic views, and also visit the Tenzo Shrine, which features a torii gate in the lake.
- Umi Jigoku - Hell’s Pool is a renowned geothermal attraction in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, Japan. It is named for its cobalt blue color, resulting from the high concentration of iron sulfate in the pool water. Despite its cool appearance, the water temperature reaches 98°C. It was created by the eruption of Mt. Tsurumi approximately 1,200 years ago and is a key attraction on Beppu’s “Hell Tour” route. The scenic area includes walking paths, foot baths, greenhouses, exhibition halls, and shops. Visitors can admire tropical plants and lotus flowers, as well as taste “hot spring eggs” steamed in the thermal waters.
- Kamado Jigoku - The Kitchen Hell is one of the eight great hells of Beppu City, Japan, named after the traditional practice of using its steam to cook food during local rituals. This hell features six unique styles of hellish landscapes from 1-chome to 6-chome, including hot mud and blue pools, and offers experiences such as foot baths, drinkable hot spring water, and hot spring cuisine.
