Visitors can learn about how Momofuku Ando, the creator of Cup Noodles, conceived the idea, observe the product’s evolution, enjoy creative art installations, an original animated film, and even customize their own pack of Cup Noodles in the museum’s in-house factory. During this experience, guests can design their packaging and create a unique flavor by selecting from four soups and twelve toppings. - Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse - Stroll to Yokohama’s renowned Red Brick Warehouse. Here, a guide will provide an overview of this landmark’s history and design, which reflects Western architectural influences. It is recommended to capture photos of the structure, which looks stunning against the sea and cityscape backdrop. Visitors can enjoy some free time to explore the unique shops inside or relax with a coffee at one of the stylish cafes!
- Yokohama Chinatown - Explore Yokohama’s Chinatown, the largest in Japan. A guide will introduce the area, including visits to two of Chinatown’s temples and shrines. After the guided tour, it will be time for a lunch break! Chinatown is the perfect place to enjoy lunch, and it is highly recommended to try the local cuisine at the many street food vendors, cafes, and restaurants.
- The Wharf House Yamashita Koen - Enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the sea and cityscape. A guide will highlight major points of interest, such as a historic ship, an impressive harbor terminal walkway and viewpoint, and more. There will also be a stop at a popular Portside cafe where guests can enjoy the traditional Japanese experience of a foot bath overlooking the sea! While here, feel free to enjoy a drink or refreshment.
- Yokohama Archives of History - This historical museum is the site of the signing of the Treaty of Kanagawa in 1854 between Japan and the USA. Consequently, the historic buildings have been meticulously preserved and managed, and the museum opened in 1981. It is dedicated to narrating the history of Yokohama as it became one of Japan’s first treaty ports open to international trade in the mid-19th Century. This is an excellent final stop to gain further insight into the wonderful city of Yokohama before returning to Shinjuku via the Air Cabin and train.
