Enjoying great food while learning about Yokohama and Japan. - This was an excellent tour. Martina is an excellent guide and speaks excellent English. She has a tremendous knowledge of Japan and Japanese culture. Thus, besides learning a lot about the sights in Yokohama as we walked around and talked we learned a lot about Japan. The food stops were terrific and provided excellent food and learning about the foods was a real treat. Highly recommend this tour.

We highly recommend this tour. Great fun. - Our guide Kenji was amazing. He asked us what we wanted to eat and we chose a food that was not on his radar. He did not miss a beat and found a place where we got a very authentic experience and great food. We followed up with a visit to a more conventional casual restaurant where we tried a variety of Japanese specialties. The quail eggs were so cute and so tasty. Kenji ordered and smoothed the way for us everywhere we went and made certain we went home with full tummies.

Best tour guide experience - My friend and I were so lucky to have booked this tour and had Hiroko as our guide. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We did this tour the day that we landed in Japan and she set the tone for our whole trip. She absolutely went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable in our new surroundings. She made sure that we knew every day Japanese terms and spent some time teaching me the modern Japanese writing system. I definitely would book again with Hiroko and recommend her to my friends that visit the Tokyo area.

Wonderful Food Tour thanks to Chisato! - We were in Yokohama Japan for a few days before our Golden Week Cruise. Our tour guide, Chisato, was the perfect person to show my hubby and I the best parts of Yokohama in a four hour walking tour customized for us! She personalized our tour to include historical, cultural facts for my husband with wonderful food choices and tastings for me! She also pointed out places for us to see on our own the next day. Some of the locations she showed us were Hammer Head, Elephants Nose, Yamashita Park, Red Brick Warehouse and Chinatown (multiple tastings). She also managed to take us to some local places for some delicious sweets! Our tastings were specific to our food choices. Chisato was also very careful to avoid foods containing shrimp for my husband. Quite a feat in Chinatown! She navigated our experience with style and expertly worked with shopkeepers. Chisato even managed to fit in a needed last minute stop at a pharmacy for us! We highly recommend this tour with Chisato whose personality and warmth made this tour not only memorable but great use of our limited time in Yokohama!

The Fineness Sukiyaki in Yokohama - We enjoyed our traditional sukiyaki lunch at Araiya restaurant in Yokohama. Chisato, our guide, provided us with the history of Yokohama over a beautiful meal. Her charm and knowledge were appreciated

Delicious, customized food tour - Riri was an excellent tour guide who went out of her way to find good restaurants, even though one of our requests was unusual (for soup curry) and my husband is gluten intolerant. She was was easy to talk to and shared many interesting experiences with us - and her English is excellent. We had a great experience. We were just too full to eat all the food that we had planned on, so we will go back to one of the suggested restaurants later.

Great food with a great guide - We wanted to eat authentic Japanese food in local non tourist places and we did. Our guide Yuko contacted directly to ask what we wanted to focus on, and designed the itinerary so we went to a variety of places, including a second floor restaurant where we had grilled eel, a conveyor belt sushi place, a Chinese restaurant where we learned that gyoza are actually Chinese in origin. A satisfying, not to mention filling food tour.

Yokohama food tour - Estella was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We did this tour on a Sunday afternoon and there were long lines and some places we couldn’t get into. Weekdays may be better.
