Amazing tour guide of Tokyo - Kei was my tour guide today. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of Tokyo and Japan. He is a world traveler who speaks very good English. We efficiently toured all over the city center and we're able to explore many of the most impressive landmarks and attractions. Going as a solo traveler it was a great way to discover Tokyo. He also gave me restaurant recommendations and travel help for my future adventures in Tokyo. I made a friend today! Would highly recommend.

Private tour of Tokyo - Ted was an excellent guide and gave us a great overview of Tokyo -both past and president day.Despite being oppressively hot we accomplished our tour.

Best Experience Ever! Japan and all that Toyko has to offer - Arigato Goziamastu - Wow can't say enough about how life changing this experience to Japan was! And it all started with this amazing, personally guided tour by Viator and our guide Michio. Michio was such a great person, with amazing knowledge about all of the key sites we visited on this day. Including visits to Imperial Palace/Garden, Tokyo Station, Asakusa, Tsukiji Market, Shibuya, etc... Michio also called an amazing Sushi restaurant, near the market, and this was our first ever true, authentic, Sashimi experience. This was truly an amazing experience we will never forget. I look forward to our next visit to Japan. Japan has set the bar so high, I believe all other countries we have been to are behind this experience. Make Japan your bucket list priority! It will be the best experience you have ever encountered.

Personalized service and knowledgeable guide - Our guide, Mori-San, was faced with an impossible task. Tokyo was over 95 degrees and humid, we were 6 older, out-of-shape Americans, and we were staying in Yokohama instead of Tokyo. He took it all in stride and modified the tour to take this all in to consideration. Before we arrived, he sent an email asking for our preferences, set up an itinerary, and then when the day was so hot, we talked through modifications. We went to the fish market and the important temples and the Imperial Palace. We had a wonderful lunch and Mori gave us a lot of explanations of the history of Tokyo along the way. The personal service made the tour special.

Pace suited to our pace and expectations - Masa was superb, tailoring the pace and visits to our pace and needs, including a stop at Starbucks to recharge.

Masa too care of us all the way! - Wonderful experience, as older people Masa was so kind to hear the pace of the tour and length to our needs and abilities, including a break in a Starbucks for a drink, air conditioning and bathrooms. He took care of all the way ensuring we knew what to do and where to be, including the experience of riding the subway

Highlights of Tokyo - Yoshi was a wonderful guide. We experienced the highlights of Tokyo. He was informative and guided us through the subway system.

Tokyo sites - Sam our guide was so informative and willing to help us see our list of sites. So much fun travelling from Yokohama to Tokyo on the train. Changing stations keeping Sam insight and learning how to buy tickets. So many people.

Not What We Expected - Right from the start there was a miscommunication problem. Our guide was in one part of the hotel and we were in another. Hence a 30 minute delay in starting this tour. There were 3 places we visited and more than 12 + train rides. Stairs were difficult in the stations. Weather extremely hot and uncomfortable. Because of all of this we felt shortchanged on our visit to Tokyo. Guide’s command of English was below average.

Disappointing and Frustrating Experience with Unprofessional Guide - Our experience with Viator in Tokyo was nothing short of frustrating. We were told to meet our guide at a post office but were never given the exact address, leaving us to rely on Google Maps to find the location. Unfortunately, we ended up at the wrong post office, and when we contacted the guide, he was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of offering help, he yelled at us, claiming we were wasting his time. This was especially distressing given that we were in a foreign country where we didn’t speak the language. After such an unpleasant interaction, we no longer felt comfortable spending the day with the guide. When we raised our concerns with Viator, we were shocked to only receive a 10% refund for what was supposed to be an 8-hour tour. This experience was not only aggravating but also deeply disappointing. I would advise others to be cautious when booking tours through Viator, especially in places where clear communication and professionalism are critical.
