- Charent’s Arch - Charents Arch is situated near Yerevan, nestled between the pagan temple of Garni and the Geghard Christian monastery complex in the village of Vokhchaberd. Initially, the Arch may appear quite ordinary and unremarkable, but upon approaching and stepping onto the platform inside the arch, the view becomes clear – it is the perfect spot to admire the majestic and sacred Mount Ararat, to connect with it, and to enjoy the stunning scenery.
- Garni Temple - The pagan temple of Garni was constructed in the latter half of the 1st century by King Trdat III. It is the only pagan temple that has been preserved in Armenia. Following the adoption of Christianity, it became the summer residence of Khosrovadukht, the sister of King Trdat III. An earthquake destroyed it in 1679, scattering parts, fragments of elegant columns, and wall stones around the temple. It is believed that the temple was dedicated to Mithra, the God of the Sun.
- The Monastery of Geghard - Geghard Monastery stands as one of the most remarkable medieval architectural structures in Armenia. Entirely carved out of a cave, it is also known as a “cave monastery.” This monastery was established in the 4th century AD at the site of a sacred spring originating in the cave. The name Geghard (spear) is derived from the spear of Longinus, which pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the cross. Currently, this spear is housed in the museum of Etchmiadzin. The Geghard monastery complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tsakhkadzor - Tsaghkadzor is a charming city in the Kotayk province of Armenia, renowned as a ski and climatic resort. Its name translates from Armenian as “Gorge of Flowers.” As early as the 5th century BC, the healing properties of the local climate were recognized.
Stop 6: Kecharis Monastery
The Kecharis monastery complex was constructed in the 11th century in Tsakhkadzor. During the 12th-13th centuries, Kecharis was a significant religious center in Armenia, featuring a higher school. The complex comprises three churches, two chapels, and a porch, with another church and its porch to the west. The main temple is the church of St. Gregory, the first building of the monastery, erected by Grigor Magistros Pahlavuni in 1003. - Kecharis Monastery - The Kecharis monastery, a medieval complex, is located in the northwestern part of Tsaghkadzor. It is notable not only for its architectural uniqueness but also for its fascinating history. Its construction spanned 220 years, with a pause of over 150 years. This was due to the historical period’s peculiarities. The monastery’s construction began under the Bagratuni dynasty and continued under the Pahlavuni dynasty.
