- Khor Virap - Khor Virap is the most renowned pilgrimage destination in Armenia, closely linked to the adoption of Christianity. Christianity became the state religion in Armenia in 301, thanks to the efforts of Saint Gregory The Illuminator. Before converting King Trdat III to Christianity, he was imprisoned in a dungeon, over which the Khor Virap monastery church was constructed in the 17th century. From the monastery, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
- Noravank Monastery - Traveling along a narrow road flanked by rocky cliffs with numerous caves, one encounters a scene where architecture harmonizes with nature. The monastery, adorned with exquisite architectural designs and lavish decorations, stands as one of the finest examples of 13th-century Armenian architecture. Noravank comprises the St. Karapet, St. Gregory The Illuminator churches, and the two-story St. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, noted for its exceptional construction and sculptural artistry.
- Hin Areni Winery - Vayots Dzor, particularly the village of Areni, has been the heart of Armenian winemaking for thousands of years. The “Hin Areni” wine factory introduces this region to the world, showcasing the historic and native Armenian grape varieties. At the winery, traditional winemaking practices are seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge modern technology. The “Hin Areni” wine factory can process over 250 tonnes of grapes.
- T’rchuneri (Bird) Cave - Research has uncovered metal knives, fruit seeds, grain remnants, rope, dishes, clothing, dried grapes, and plums, dating back to 4200-3500 BC, within the cave. The world’s oldest leather shoe, over 5500 years old, was discovered here. Additionally, the area revealed the world’s oldest women’s skirt (3900 BC) and the first winery ever found.

A packed day. Unmissable - A brilliant day out. Very well organised. Unique sights and very knowledgeable guidance round the stops. Josep and Marina were a great team. Highly recommended

Another Incredible Day with Hyur Service – Hayk and Anush Were Fantastic! - We had another amazing private tour with Hyur Service, this time visiting Khor Virap, Noravank Monastery, and the Areni Winery. Our driver Hayk was excellent again, handling the long, winding roads with confidence and care. Our guide Anush was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing stories about Armenia’s deep Christian roots at Khor Virap, with its breathtaking view of Mount Ararat, and the stunning red cliffs surrounding Noravank.
We ended the day at Areni Winery for a wonderful lunch, wine tasting, and a fascinating tour of the wine-making process. It was the perfect way to experience Armenia’s history, scenery, and hospitality all in one day. Highly recommend Hyur Service...especially Hayk and Anush!

Excelent - The tour was excellent. The bilingual information received from our guide Marina exceeded our expectations. Complete information, pleasant voice and exemplary attitude towards tourists. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts. Also the driver and the coach were excellent. All of this made the day during the trip a success.

Walking uphill a lot, you need comfortable shoes. - Seeing Ararat (albeit in the clouds), the mountain plateau of Nakhchivan, learning to understand what is carved on the walls of the monasteries, learning how the Armenian carpet is weaved was helped by the wonderful benevolent guide Ike (sorry, I forgot my last name), and driving Armen along the mountain roads was not scary at all. Thank you very much!

An experience worth treasuring - It was an absolute privilege and joy to have taken the trip with Haig (PhD) and Armen. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the incredible history of Armenia and its people, and in multiple languages. We had a blast, see you soon I’m sure

Tour as described, excellent guide - Tour as described in brochure. 49 people, large, modern comfortable bus. Araik, Skilled and careful driver. Haik, Excellent, knowledgeable, informative guide . Russian and English speaking groups. Haik managed both languages fluently. I am 84 with balance problems on stairs. Haik helped me navigate the stairs and dark uneven places in the churches. Most of the tour operators have the same tours. The differences between them are probably price, what is included and mostly the quality of the transportation, driver and most important the guide. This trip included pickup, water, cake but not lunch which was optional and extra. I rate this trip highly because of the excellence of the guide.

Great Experience!! Excellent tour and staff!! - It was an excellent tour with an excellent price. You have four attractions with entrances included, a good meal for a good price and a confortable bus. The driver Josef IS very kind and responsible and Marina the tour guide IS very polite and kind, she gives good information during the trip.
Besides, you have good time and free for yourself in each place to visit everything that you want. The places are impressive
I recommend the tour 100% percent if you have the chance. The length IS very good with almost Nine hours you take advantage of any moment because the lanscapes are awesome in the road

Great experience - Great experience, not to be missed. With little time available we decided to do this tour and another, always with Hyur Service and we enjoyed it very much. Marina is a very precise and attentive guide and Joseph an excellent driver. We were impressed by the beauty of the landscapes and ancient places of worship and enjoyed meeting other tourists from all over the world!
