- Great Keppel Island Hideaway - Head over to Great Keppel Island for a day trip with our ferry company in conjunction with Great Keppel Island Hideaway & GKI Water Sports & Activities. Departing on the 9am ferry service over to the island, it’s a short 30 minute join to the main beach on Great Keppel Island. Please note, there is no jetty on the island so the ferry pulls in, ramp goes down and you disembark straight onto soft white sand - you may get wet feet! Upon arrival, head towards the Hideaway sign (look for the hula girls on the logo) and you’ll come to the GKI Watersports & Activities. This is where your choice of full day snorkel hire or 1hr SUP/kayak can be arranged. Carrying on up the sandy track, you’ll come onto the Hideaway’s lawn area - this is where your lunch and refreshment component are included, please note lunch hours are 11:30am-2pm. You departure from the island is 4pm.

Unforgettable - The whole day was amazing. Beaches are gorgeous, staff were friendly and accomadating. Snorkelling brilliant. Lunch was fantastic and overlooking the beach was amazing

Regular traveller, very happy with the service - I always use their return service Rosslyn to Keppel. They are punctual, flexible,
great service. On the last trip with my family the children were able to sit up front with the driver on the smaller vessel, the staff were so friendly.

Ferry trip to & from Rosslyn Bay Harbour to Great Keppel Island in October 2024. - Fantastic ferry trip from Yeppoon to Great Keppel & back again recently. The transfers were so well organised & the ferry staff just so friendly & obliging. We stayed at Hideaway for 6 nights so had our share of luggage. Can't recommend highly enough &: we'll be back in 2025.

Awesome day trip! - An awesome day visiting Great Keppel Island, with a seamless ferry connection, snorkel hire and lunch. Keppel Konnections was very good value for moneys.

Loved it, awesome - Loved it, team very helpful, heaps of parking available, they are on time, the team members at Islands snorkeling are awesome, helpful and has proper knowledge to guide first timers, lunch at the restaurant with heaps of options and we had a lovely service, thanks team we had a lovely day and experience, will see you soon.

First trip to Keppel Island. - The cafe at Keppel Island when we got there was a long wait for our food, a hour and half wait and toilets needed to be cleaned more often, 2 only for men and women.en and 2 showers, all need updating. The experience in the water, beaches just amazing, absolutely beautiful but facilities for people in hospitality need attention. It was our first time, we will be back but will take our own food so we don't have to wait.

Missing information- Otherwise nice - We really liked the tour. BUT: from the description it does not appear that to get to the beaches for snorkeling, at least. 20 minutes to go. This trail is only possible over a mountain that is not paved. Instead, the path is more like a little climbing: With very steep places with stones and roots. So: put on sturdy footwear / take it with you! Even on the beach itself you still have to swim a good 200m to see the reef. At lunch there was plenty of choice and it was delicious. In itself a nice excursion, but it has robbed us of a lot of strength due to the lack of information.

Self guided tour with boat transfers - The tour is really just a boat transfer with snorkeling gear and lunch included.
Staff were very friendly and boat was comfortable.
We did the tour with our two young daughters. Had to wait 30 minutes to get the snorkelling gear. Then had to walk about 40 minutes over a mountain to find a snorkelling spot. This was fun but challenging with carrying all the gear and ensuring the kids ween’t injured.
The island is beautiful and worth the trip. Reef was average for the effort.
Then we had the queue again 30 minutes to order our included lunch.
Overall we all enjoyed the trip. Just didn’t feel it was value for money.
