The best!!! - Felix was amazing, very friendly and attentive throughout. He took amazing pictures of us all. Fortunately we could see auroras, we were in 3 different places and it was amazing.

Great tour - Our guide was so sweet and she worked very hard to make sure we see the northern light . I appreciate everything she did , and we got lucky enough to be able to see it at the end of the tour . She helped us with picture taking and had snacks for us .

Mindblowing - We could hardly believe what we were seeing! I've been obsessed wit h the aurora and following every photo and video anyone posts, and I had no idea they could be this amazing. I'm so grateful to our hardworking guide Janet for chasing the lights around three lakes and advising the bus driver to pull aside on the road, where we saw the most mind-blowing display around 1:30 am for the grand finale. She also pointed out a fox and shooting star. Janet also took beautiful photos of the lights and us experiencing the wonder.

Amazing time! - Excellent 5 day - 4 night package to view the Aurora Borealis. Tour was very well organized. Enjoyed the different venues each night. The hospitality at each venue was welcoming as were the warm drinks and food. Tour guides were informative, friendly and patient. Top marks to Janet, Winnie, Angus and Tracy. Explorer Hotel accommodations included breakfast. Hotel room, service and food were very good. We highly recommend Yellowknife Tours.

Fantastic Experience! - We went to Yellowknife at the end of March to see the Northern Lights. Since there’s a 95% chance of seeing them if you stay for three nights, we booked the 4-day/3-night Gold Hotel package with Yellowknife Tours. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Our flight was delayed by an hour and a half, but Yellowknife Tours was at the airport when we got off the plane and quickly drove us to our hotel (Chateau Nova). Along the way, they gave us some info on what to expect over the next four days, some history on the area, and restaurant recommendations. We had also rented the winter gear, and those were in the shuttle bus to our hotel. (The clothes fit perfectly and they really kept us warm, even though it was sub-zero (F) temperatures.) Our tour guide the first night was Angus, and by chance, he was also our tour guide for the City Tour and Nature Gallery tour the next day. Angus has a lot of energy and really made the bus rides fun as he talked about the Northern Lights and the history of the area. The Lights came out early this night, and Angus had the driver make an unscheduled stop so we could get off the bus and just enjoy the early display. The entire night was incredible, both from a Northern Lights perspective and having Angus as our guide. He took lots of photos of each person and group, with the Northern Lights in the background. All the photos were emailed to us before we woke up the next morning. The second night our tour guide was Saxon, and he was also very good. The Northern Lights were even more fantastic this night, and once again Saxon took photos of individuals and groups with the Northern Lights in the background. Just as before, the photos were emailed before we woke up the next morning. The third night was cloudy and we only got a brief glimpse of the Lights through the clouds. I highly recommend Yellowknife Tours for your visit to Yellowknife. They took care of all the logistics, showed up on time, and were fantastic tour guides.

An unforgettable experience - After taking a trip with Yellowknife Tours last year and having an amazing experience, I decided to take a second trip — this time with my entire family and many of my closest friends. Angus, our tour guide, made this one unforgettable and we were so lucky to be able to see the aurora every single night. Angus was professional, knowledgeable, and knew all the small details about the many topics he covered. I’m so grateful to him for customizing the itinerary to our needs, including celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Angus also took beautiful pictures for our entire group, so that these priceless memories were captured. If you want to go to Yellowknife, I highly recommend booking this company.

Northern Light tour 2025 - My husband and I joined the families of some of my friends on this tour to see northern lights. We started planning little more than 6 months ago, by working with “Yellowknife tours” closely. They made planning a trip so easy for us. Everything needed for the trip was thought out. And planned, the gears, the meals, the tours , even the down-times, and the pickups from the airport. Due to the last minute flight change by airline company, we arrived Yellowknife half day late and missed some scheduled tour. The tour guide made extra effort to make it up the next day to ensure we have a full experience. We were fortunate to be able to see the Aurora on the first night. The tour guide made sure to take pictures for each one of us to remember this magical experience…. Our tour guide is Angus… he was wonderful and thorough minded. I highly recommend this tour company, if seeing northern lights is in your future plans…

not worth it. - it was a tour guide and a driver. The driver was very rude, and did nothing but drove the tour bus. which is kind of ridiculous because the guide can just drive. I think that's what makes this tour more expensive than others and the funny thing is it doesn't make any difference at all. this waste of manpower leads to the waste of your money. the guide was chinese, it was hard to understand her for a non-native english speaker like me
