Really interesting trip, highly recommend - We visited las Salinas de Janubio as a group of 4 last week and had a fantastic time. It wasn't somewhere that had come up during our research prior to the trip which is a real shame, it should be on everyone's list. Our guide (I wish I could remember her name) was great and clearly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the site. Fantastic value, especially compared with Timanfaya which we did on the same day. We spent 90 minutes exploring the salt flats and another 30 tasting 3 salts, 2 wines and a cheese. A really interesting trip which I'd highly recommend.

Must do experience - After many visits to Lanzarote we finally got around to visiting the salt pans. OMG, what an amazing place, better than imagined by a long way. Brilliant guided tour, our guide slipped seamlessly between Spanish, English and French, and some Italian as needed. After a couple of hours walking around the pans and learning about the history and modern day salt production, we then had a wonderful salt tasting, eye opener, finished off with a small gifted box of salt. It's a must do experience.

Highly recommended. - Very well explained, two very enjoyable hours and Vicky a charm. The perfect tasting and cheese to counteract the very good salt as well as the wine.

The 2.5-hour... - The 2.5-hour private tour of the Salinas de Janubio was an in-depth look into a unique agricultural and industrial monument. The coloured salt pools (through algae & varying concentrations) form a spectacular contrast to the black volcanic landscape.

Lanzarote salt flats - This is a very in depth tour. While flat, be prepared to walk a lot at a slow pace. It was very windy and sunny….come prepared with water, spf, and a hat! The tour at times felt a little long but our tour guide did the tour in THREE different languages and was passionate. The best part was the salt tasting at the end. It was very educational and ain interesting way to see something different and off the beaten path.

If you go to Lanzarote, don't miss it!!! - IT'S-YOUR-PEN-DA!!!!! The combination of: place + story + Vicky = I-NOL-VI-DA-BLE!!!! If we add to almost two hours of explanations, details, anecdotes and curiosities, a great tasting composed of tomato, cheese, wine, SALT (of course), and the unexpected detail (a lovely box of salt), I put a 10. The Janubian salt flats deserve to be visited and valued. Vicky, with guides like you what a pleasure to travel!!!

Don't miss the visit! - During our trips to Lanzarote, we've always admired the salt flats from above, driving past. This time we decided to stop and visit them. Perfect choice! Our guide, Vicky, was excellent in explaining the history and how this Lanzarote treasure works. Obtaining salt from seawater seems like a simple task. Wrong. It's manual labor, intense, tiring, and requires patience. A labor of love and to be respected. The tastings and various purchase options in the shop are also excellent. In addition to the classic visits to Lanzarote, don't miss this gem.
