• Shakadang Trail - Shakadang Trail in Taroko National Park is a favorite among hikers, offering views of the vibrant turquoise river waters and towering marble cliffs. The name Stakataka, meaning white rocks, refers to the marble and gneiss found throughout the Shakadangxi riverbed. The trail’s most striking features are the green and white rocks decorating the river and the stonewall path.
• Yanzihkou Trail (Swallow Grotto) - “Swallow Grotto” is named for the many small holes and crevices in the cliffs that provide nesting sites for swallows.
• Tunnel of Nine Turns Trail - The Tunnel of Nine Turns (Jiuqudong) is carved into the mountainside, offering a winding path with stunning views of the surrounding marble cliffs and the Liwu River.
• Buluowan - From the Buluowan Bridge, visitors can take in panoramic views of the lush landscapes, dramatic cliffs, and the Liwu River below.
• Buluowan Recreation Area - Buluowan, a river terrace on the east side of Taroko Gorge, is divided into upper and lower terraces. It was once an indigenous village, with Buluowan meaning “tracking prey” in the Truku language.
• Changchun Shrine Trail - This trail takes explorers through lush forests, fascinating geological formations, and a waterfall, ending at the Changchun Shrine.
• Qixingtan Beach - Qixingtan Beach is a stunning coastal spot in Taiwan, featuring a crescent-shaped shoreline, white pebbles, and clear views of the Pacific Ocean.
