Entrance tickets for the Shaanxi History Museum must be reserved online 7 days in advance, as they sell out quickly. If tickets are unavailable when you book the tour within 7 days, we will visit the Xian Museum instead.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - Next, we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built during the Tang Dynasty to house Buddhist Sutras brought from ancient India by Master Xuanzang. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Xian Terracotta Warriors Tour (L)
The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby. Today’s adventure begins with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, discovered by a local farmer in 1974 and now known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - After lunch, we will visit the 600-year-old City Wall, originally built during the Ming Dynasty for military defense and now a symbol of Xian. Travelers can optionally rent a bike (at their own cost) to ride along the wall and enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
Muslim Quarter - Today’s tour concludes at the Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square and the nearby Muslim Street, where you can sample a variety of local foods and snacks.
Xian Mt. Huashan Tour (No Meal)
Mount Huashan - Please meet your guide and driver at your hotel around 8 am for a 2-hour drive to Mt. Huashan. Upon arrival, we will take a scenic shuttle bus to the North Peak Cable Car station and ride the cable car to the North Peak. At the top, you will have free time to enjoy the stunning mountain scenery. Finally, meet your guide at the mountain’s base, where the driver will be waiting at the exit gate at 5:00 pm to transfer you back to your hotel.
Please bring food and water for lunch, as there are no restaurants at the mountain top.
Xian Departure (No Meal)
Tomb of Emperor Jingdi (Hanyangling) - In the morning, your guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby. On the way to the airport, we will stop to visit the Hanyangling Mausoleum, the tomb of Emperor Jingdi from the Han Dynasty. Here, you will see numerous mini terracotta warriors and horses. The different scales and facial expressions of the mortuary objects in the two emperors’ mausoleums reflect their distinct personalities and management styles.
Kind Notice: The Hanyangling Mausoleum closes at 5:30 pm and usually stops selling tickets at 4:00 pm. You will be dropped off at the airport by 6:00 pm at the latest, so please plan your flight accordingly.
