Super fun breakfast tour with some insight into daily life in xi’an - My husband and I have been on two lost plate food tours before this and always love the experience. Our guide was Buren who was the absolute best, made sure to check in with us the day before and continued to offer us recommendations after the tour at our request. I can tell when I’m in the company of a proper foodie and he really knows his stuff! The food was fantastic and the tour was well paced. Buren checked in with us often to see if we wanted any additional snacks along the way and was a delight to talk to. Highlights for us were the soup with meatballs and the pancakes, but honestly each stop is unique and delicious!

Amazing Xi'an morning tour with Buren! - Buren was an absolutely awesome tour guide, who made the tour both informative and fun! We had a blast both trying the amazing authentic foods and seeing the variety of stalls at the market. Buren made the tour feel like a day with friends and we all enjoyed his insightful knowledge into Xi'an food and history.
Would highly recommend this tour, and after completing this and a Beijing night tour, I will definitely be looking into attending more tours with Lost Plate in the future!

Amazing experience if you're a foodie looking for authentic China - I have been on several Lost Plate Food tours all over China, but this one hands down, was my FAVE! Our tour guide Buren was amazing! He truly went above and beyond. Before the tour he texted me asking about my expectations and if I needed any suggestions of restaurants to try in town. His laid back personality made the tour felt like I was hanging out with an old friend. He's very knowledgeable about Chinese cuisine and explained what was special about each dish we tried. Going through the market, he let us try anything we wanted. Wonderful time! I wish I stayed in Xi'an longer just to get more of his recommendations of food to try!

A great experience in Xi’an - We loved the tour! The food was delicious and very specific to the city. We would have never tasted it by ourselves. Our guide Buren was really helpful and friendly - it was absolutely great to meet him!

Fantastic food tour in Xian - This was an amazing tour and a great way to learn about some of Xian’s culture and taste some truly fantastic food. We could never have experienced these things on our own. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun and spoke great English. Highly recommend!!

Excellent tour - Buren has been the best tour guide, he showed us traditional dishes in Xi'an made by the real locals and family business shops. He is so passionate about food and gave us very nice recommendations to visit after. Thank you so much!

Amazing food tour experience! - One of the highlights from our trip to Xi’an. I saw Lost Plate on a travel video on YouTube and thankfully decided to try them out. Our entire experience, from start to finish, was amazing and even with toddlers. Our guides Buren and Jennifer were awesome and super accommodating. They took us to eat the best food we ate in Xi’an and sprinkled in some wonderful commentary and facts. Great experience that we’d recommend to everyone!

Great Tour - Tour was fun, Our guide in troduce variety local foods. We learn a lot not just culinary, guide also show us about culture, way of life. Market was huge that easliy toJ get lost by yourself. It was lovely that we have a guide bring you to hidden location. Jennifer, our guide was very funny, enthusiastic and helpful.

Wonderful morning with amazing tour guide! - We always enjoy doing a food tour in every city that we go to - Lost Plate was definitely the right choice for us! We loved them so much when we did their tour in Chengdu that we decided to continue in Xi'An; this time opting for the morning food tour to try something different. Our meeting location was super easy to get to/find. Our tour guide BuRen was prompt and actually met us early. He had messaged us the night before to ask about our food limitations, and make sure he can accommodate all of our needs. As a self described Foodie - we knew we were in for a treat! It turns out, we were the only 2 that decided to wake up early on a Sunday morning - so it was a private tour with BuRen. It turned out to be an experience! We stopped by very local places down alleys that we would have never ventured into ourselves deep in the Muslim Quarters. We enjoyed the delicious food with super friendly vendors. Since it was just the 2 of us, we were invited into the kitchen to watch them hard at work making the food. We even got our hands on making our own dumplings at our very last stop from a husband/wife team. BuRen was very knowledgeable and provided us with so much history. We happened to be there during their weekend flea market also - so BuRen took us down the busy streets to explore the area like a true local. We throughly enjoyed our time with BuRen as he was such an amazing tour guide - even offering to drive us back to our hotel at the end of the tour since it was on his way back home. Would highly recommend this tour - and Lost Plate - to anyone considering a food tour.

Amazing experience - The tour was great! We had such a good time. The Xian food scene is diverse and unique. Our guide Buren was very helpful and told us many interesting things anbout food culture and Xian itself. He just has an amazing personality. We highly recommend this tour for all food lovers. You will see some hidden gems and try really delicious dishes. Both sit down restaurants and street delights.
