Tomb of Emperor Jingdi (Hanyangling) - The Hanyangling Tomb is the shared resting place of Emperor Jingdi and his Empress, and it stands as the largest underground museum in China. This tomb beautifully integrates modern technology with ancient civilization, culture, and garden artistry. After three decades of excavation, it has been revealed that the Hanyangling Tomb primarily consists of the Emperor and Empress’ graveyards, southern and northern burial pits, ceremonial buildings, and the criminals’ graveyards. The layout mirrors the ancient morning court presided over by the emperor. All graveyards and burial pits are housed within the underground museum, with cultural relics safeguarded by special glass imported from the Czech Republic. Visitors can observe these treasures from above ground, gaining a genuine sense of the unearthing process and the magnificent Han culture.
The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - The Terracotta Warriors’ pits are the burial sites of the Mausoleum of the First Emperor of Qin. Each pottery figurine is unique, with lifelike expressions. This site is a gem in the history of ancient Chinese sculpture art, often referred to as “the eighth wonder of the world” and “one of the great archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.”
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - The Xi’an City Wall is the largest and most well-preserved ancient city wall in China. It is a prominent landmark of the ancient city. Just as people have distinct personalities, so do cities. As a renowned historical and cultural city, Xi’an’s unique urban character is reflected in its architecture. Visitors can join a tour guide to climb the city wall, listen to historical insights, and enjoy views of Xi’an from above. Renting a bicycle for a ride along the city wall is also a delightful option.
Hotel Pick-Up; Transfer to Mt. Huashan, Take Cable Car to the Top of the Mountain.
Mount Huashan - Upon reaching the base of Mt. Huashan, visitors can choose to start from either the North Peak or the West Peak, based on conditions and personal preferences. The South Peak is the highest, featuring the “Plank Walk in the Sky,” known as the most challenging path on Mt. Huashan. The West Peak is the emblem of Mt. Huashan, renowned for its grandeur and a must-see for tourists. The East Peak, one of the main peaks, is named for its eastern location. It features a platform offering a panoramic view, making it a popular spot for sunrise viewing, known as “Zhaoyang Terrace,” or “Zhaoyang Peak.” After the tour, visitors will take the cable car down the mountain, where the driver will be waiting at the designated spot to return to Xi’an.
Mount Huashan Plank Trail - The Changkong Plank Path is a must-see. The adventure begins on the 2,160-meter South Peak. The so-called “road” consists of narrow wooden planks attached to the mountainside, appearing precarious. At its widest, the path measures just 0.3 meters.
