Must do activity to enjoy food and best neighborhood in Xi’an - Extremely well prepared and enthousiastic guide Buren that has shown us 5 hidden treasures with best food we’ve had in China. Personalized and knowledgeable, very nice to learn more about rich chinese food history. In addition, the Tuktuk ride through buzzling muslim quarter with safe drivers made this a must do activity in Xi’an.

Fun food tour for families - We thoroughly enjoyed our evening food tour. The guide was great and the tuk-tuks were lots of fun. We got to enjoy food in locals shops that we would not have been able to find on our own. The Biang Biang noodles were amazing. Come hungry because there is lots of food!

Xi’an Evening Food Tour with Buren- Highly Recommended! - My husband and I joined the evening food tour led by Buren on our recent trip to Xi’an. It was our first time in the city and we were excited to explore this ancient city through food (our favorite way of getting to know a new place)! Buren is highly knowledgeable and never let us go hungry! He is funny and personable, which made the tour all the more enjoyable. The curated stops are the perfect way to learn more about Xi’an’s long history and loved ending the tour at the craft brewery overlooking the city wall. Highly, highly recommend for anyone looking for an evening activity in Xi’an!

Fantastic guide and a delicious variety of food! - We had a great experience with the Xi’an evening food tour! We went to four different restaurants and a brewery and had over 10 dishes which were all different and fantastic. The tour took us to places off the main streets which would have been hard to identify on our own. Besides the delicious food, the highlight of the tour was our guide Buren. He spoke great English and was so kind and willing to answers all of our numerous questions on the tour, and was extremely knowledgeable about the food in Xi’an and cuisine across China! He was even very generous and happy to answer questions after the tour! We wanted to later try some of Xi’an’s other fantastic but less famous foods on our own, and he enthusiastically offered detailed recommendations of great local places.

Definitely recommended - We had a great tour with Buren from Lost Plate, who gave us very competent information about Xi'an's cuisine and is a real foodie. Four restaurants and a brewery off the tourist routes gave us a perfect overview of Xi’an’s delicacies. We also did some good food tours in Beijing with Lost Plate. I can only recommend this tour operator

We had a phenomenal 5 star tour with our guide Buren who led us to some of the tastiest most famous spots to sample Xian’s best local dishes. We had a blast sampling extraordinary food while learning interesting facts about Xian’s food history and current food trends. We also lucked out with super fun people in our group ( we all ended up swapping contact info) highly recommend!!
