Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - The tour guide and driver will meet the operator in the lobby of their Beijing hotel, proceeding directly to Tian’anmen Square.
Tian’anmen Square is the largest public square in the world, housing the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the Monument to the People’s Heroes. Accompany the tour guide, walk through the square, and learn about its rich history and stories.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - From there, enter through the South gate to the majestic Forbidden City, a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions, and gardens, which served as the imperial palace for over 500 years. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, the Forbidden City showcases ancient treasures from thousands of years of history. Admire the intricate maze of palaces, gardens, and stunning courtyards as the guide shares their histories and stories.
Niaochao National Stadium - While driving past the Olympic park, inform the tour guide if a photo stop is desired.
Mutianyu Great Wall - Afterward, enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. Then relax during the 1.5-hour drive to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. This section is slightly more rugged and less crowded than the famous Badaling section. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered with trees and orchards.
Follow the tour guide to hike up and down various towers, and enjoy the convenience of a cable car round trip or a toboggan ride at the wall.
After the tour concludes, the operator will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Xi’an.
Xi’an - The driver in Xi’an will hold a name sign waiting at the exit of the arrival hall, and the operator will be transferred to their hotel in Xi’an.

Begin with a visit to the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors Museum, known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World.” The museum is divided into three sections: No.1 Pit, No.2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit. The original site was discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974 and has since become Xi’an’s most important attraction. Explore the museum and gain rich information from the tour guide.
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - After lunch, perhaps visit the 600-year-old Xi’an City Wall. Ascend to the top of the centuries-old city wall and admire the views of the city below.
Muslim Quarter - Next, head to the Muslim Quarter, the hub of the Muslim community in Xi’an City. Follow the tour guide to explore the Muslim food and souvenir market. Try delicious local snacks if desired, at personal expense.
After the tour, the operator will be transferred to the airport for a 2-hour flight to Shanghai.
Shanghai - The driver in Shanghai will pick up the operator from the airport and drop them off at their Shanghai hotel.

Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - Meet the tour guide in the lobby of the Shanghai hotel, board a private air-conditioned vehicle, and embark on a customized tour of the city’s sights. Discuss the historical highlights and attractions of interest with the knowledgeable guide, who will help plan an itinerary according to preferences. Typically, the tour begins with the Shanghai Museum. The museum is divided into eleven galleries and three exhibition halls, featuring bronze ware, ceramics, and painting and calligraphy as its distinctive collections. The museum boasts 120,000 pieces of rare and precious cultural relics in 21 categories.
Jade Buddha Temple - Then, proceed to the Jade Buddha Temple. View the White Jade Buddhas, brought from Burma in the nineteenth century. Stroll around the temple’s halls and courtyards with the tour guide, learn about the temple’s history and Buddhism in China, and observe how locals come to worship and burn incense.
Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then explore Yuyuan Garden. Yuyuan Garden is the largest ancient garden with Ming and Qing style architecture. Follow the tour guide to explore the garden and learn how to create a perfect garden. Then visit the Old City God Temple, where various local snack shops and streets are scattered around.
The Bund - Continue to the Bund, where the amazing city skyline can be seen, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai Tower, and colonial buildings along the Huangpu River. Take a walk and stop for photos.
Former French Concession - Continue to explore the Former French Concession. Besides its historical and religious significance, the Shanghai French Concession is also a fantastic place for leisure. Follow the tour guide to wander the narrow alleyways, dine in one of the many cafes or restaurants (at personal expense), or browse through the endless art galleries and photographic studios.
Xintiandi - The last stop is the lively nightlife district of Xintiandi. As a window to the past and the future, to China and the world, Shanghai Xintiandi’s Shikumen attraction was created by converting residential blocks into a multifunctional dining, retail, and entertainment center filled with restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and bars of an international standard. Follow the tour guide and explore the area. If some of these places have been visited before and something different is desired, feel free to discuss with the tour guide where to go. Attractions or activities can be chosen based on interests: Shanghai Museum, Pearl TV Tower, World Financial Center, or Jinmao Tower.
