Excellent day out! - My son and I enjoyed an excellent day of touring with our guide, Linda. We started with the Terracotta Warriors, and elected to add Huaqing Palace and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Our visit coincided with the Chinese school summer holidays, so the Terracotta Warriors exhibition in particular was extremely busy, but Linda facilitated all the ticket purchasing and guided us through the venues and crowds with great assurance, making a daunting experience very straightforward. Linda’s English is very good and she is deeply knowledgeable about not only the Warriors but also each of the other venues we chose to visit. She is friendly and personable, and we really enjoyed our day out in her company. She also guided us to a lunch spot serving authentic local noodle dishes and Chinese hamburgers (which happened to be the best ones we tried while in XI’an!). Linda also gave us some really good tips about other things to do in Xi’an, which we would never have known about otherwise. As the day progressed, we actually changed cars & drivers a couple of times, and this was well coordinated. We were able to leave our backpack in one car and have it transferred to the new vehicle without any problems. There was also a plentiful supply of water bottles, which was great on a hot day.

Best way to see the Terracota Army - We booked a private tour because the Terracota Army was #1 for our China trip, and it was well worth it. The day begin with breakfast - local food we can't get at home, on the street, at our request. Then came the Army - Alice, our guide, navigated us seamlessly through the crowds (it's very busy...but that's part of the experience). For lunch, the driver recommended a place for locals with Shaanxi province's famous dish: Bi'ang bi'ang noodles. We then saw the old city wall and the giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the afternoon. Alice added lots of interesting background knowledge to each experience.

This is by far the best way to experience everything Xi'an has to offer - Today, I completed the private Terracotta Warriors tour with my guide Rosa, and both the tour and her were amazing. I was picked up from my hotel at 8.00am by Rosa and the driver in a very nice luxury car, and we drove out to the Warrior sites. The driver was amazing and knew all the back streets and shortcuts to get us there in as little time as possible given the phenomenal amount of traffic all heading to the same spot. Once there, Rosa was terrific, and her intimate knowledge of getting in and around the place must be unparalleled. We skipped the pit 1 entrance queue completely, and like magic, we were inside. The site itself is breathtaking in scale, and Rosa told the whole story while ensuring I had the best view possible. She was ruthless and dogged in getting into the best viewpoint in the enormous crush of people and made the whole thing a breeze whilst surrounded by chaos. Doing this tour with a private guide is the ONLY way you should do it. It's worth every penny paid, trust me. After we left, she took me to the Silk Road stage show, which was stunning and breathtaking. I was blown away by the technical complexity of this live stage musical show, and the actors and music were amazing. They have English subtitles displayed off to the side of the stage so you don't miss anything of this beautiful show. You probably wouldn't think of doing it as an English speaking tourist, but I'm telling you it is a must do when in Xi'an. After the show we went to the Goose Pagoda after which we had lunch, and then I finished up with a walk along the city wall from the west to the south gate and back to the bell tower. What an amazing day. I can not recommend this tour and my guide Rosa any higher. If they had six stars, I would give it. Note that no tickets are included in the price because the tour is completely customisable. You pay for the tickets yourself at each site you want to visit. The tour may cost more than others, but the service, comfort, time saved, and the one on one commentary with a guide make it outstanding value.

Linda is the best tour guide in Xi’an - highly recommend - We had a great experience visiting Terracotta Soldiers and Shaanxi History Museum. Our tour guide Linda is genuinely helpful and shared lots of great info and tips. She also helped us book the dance show and helped arrange the seating which was beyond the original schedule. We appreciate her and our driver Mr. Dong very much and would recommend this tour to others seeking a great service.

Amazing recommended experience with great guide. - The tour was very well arranged and confirmed in time. A driver picked us up at the airport with our names on a card. The tour was extremely interesting. Linda was our guide and she was very knowledgable about the history of Xi’an and the Terracotta army and she spoke english very well. We visited the Terracotta army, we cycled on the City Wall of Xi’An and concluded with visit of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At noon she brought us to a great local place to have lunch. It all was done at a good pace with plenty time for pictures. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend Linda as guide to everyone.

A perfect one day tour in Xi'an , China ! - The one day trip that we took was perfect values for money ! The vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Linda - our tour guide - made this trip memorable ! She was fluent in english and was well versed with historical facts ! Took us to a nice restaurant for an authentic Chinese lunch. Very pleasant & cooperative, she happily agreed to even accompany us for some quick shopping ! Would love to come back to Xi'an !

Terracotta Army - A wonderful experience with the expert tour guide Lily! Lily was extremely knowledgeable not only about the Terracotta Army but also the city of Xi’an and everything it has to offer. We wholeheartedly recommend Xi’an and particularly Lily. We hope to visit again soon!
