Highlights
  • The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - Start your day by meeting your knowledgeable and friendly personal guide in the lobby of your Xi’an Downtown hotel in the morning. You’ll then be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle to the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors Museum, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” During the journey, your guide will share fascinating histories and stories, and you are welcome to ask any questions.

The museum is divided into three sections: Pit No.1, Pit No.2, and Pit No.3. Discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974, this site has become Xi’an’s most significant attraction. Wander through the museum and gain valuable insights from your tour guide.

  • Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - After enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll head to Xi’an city to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This well-preserved ancient structure is a symbol of historic Xi’an and a sacred site for Buddhists.

Constructed in 652 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built to house Buddhist materials brought from India by the monk Xuanzang. Xuanzang traveled the Silk Road for 17 years, visiting 100 countries and finally reaching India, where he acquired Buddha statues, 657 types of sutras, and various Buddha relics.

Explore the area with your guide, visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Da Ci’en Temple, and various halls, squares, and gardens. Learn about the ancient Silk Road, Buddhism in China, and the histories and stories of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Feel free to ask any questions.

  • Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - Your next stop is the 600-year-old Xi’an City Wall, one of the oldest and best-preserved city walls in China and one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.

Follow your guide to the top of this historic wall and enjoy panoramic views of the city below. Visit two museums to learn more about its history. If you wish, you can rent a bike at your own expense to cycle around the city wall.

After the tour, you will be transported back to your hotel in Xi’an.
