The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - You will be directly transferred to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses museum, which is about a 1 to 1.5-hour drive. The guide will vividly explain the history. This museum showcases an exceptional level of sculpture, marking it as the most significant discovery of the 20th century. The magnificent scene and layout will leave a lasting impression.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - After enjoying a traditional Chinese lunch, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, originally built to house sutras and Buddha figurines brought back by Xuanzang from India. Now, it is situated in a large garden where visitors can relax and enjoy leisure time. Nearby, a musical fountain performs on schedule. After a day of sightseeing, you will be returned to your hotel in Xi’an.
Xi’an
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - At 9 am, the guide will pick you up from your hotel to visit the Xi’an Ancient City Wall, the most complete and best-preserved city wall in China, originally built for military defense. You can also choose to ride a bike on the Wall (CNY45 per person, at your own expense).
Drum Tower Square - Next, visit the Bell and Drum Tower Square, located at the city’s center. The Bell and Drum Tower is a symbol of Xi’an. Enjoy some free time to capture memorable photos.
Muslim Quarter - Head north of the Drum Tower to the famous Muslim Quarter, the top food street in Xi’an, offering a variety of authentic local foods and interesting handicrafts.
Xi’an Mosque - After lunch, visit the Great Mosque, a key site for Muslim religious activities in Xi’an. Many find this Mosque resembles a traditional Chinese garden in design and layout, featuring characteristics of Chinese pavilions with painted beams and engraved ridgepoles.
Xi’an Museum - Visit the Xi’an Museum, which includes the museum itself, the Jianfu Temple, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The museum houses 130,000 cultural relics from various historical periods in Xi’an, including items from influential dynasties like the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang.
After exploring the museum, admire the onsite Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a legacy of Buddhist architectural art from the Tang Dynasty.
Xi’an - At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to Xi’an airport (or Xian North or Main train station) for your onward journey.
