Ancient Chinese Capital Is a Don’t Miss - Famous for the Terracotta Army located nearby, Xian also deserves a very significant place in Chinese history as an ancient capital, the eastern end of the Silk Road and a melting pot of multi-ethnic Chinese culture. All of this came out in our trip thanks to the meticulous planning by Lenna and our skillful guide. The Xian hotel was extremely comfortable too. As a 2-day trip, we had 2 long days: the first started at 5:30 am and the second ended at midnight. If you want more time in Xian or a slower pace, consider a 2 night trip perhaps. This trip worked great for us and fit in between other commitments we had in Beijing. We strongly recommend this trip.

Worth it - Don’t let the 6 hour train ride intimidate you. This trip is fantastic and WORTH IT. Lenna contacted me as soon as my trip was booked. She is very efficient and communicative, which is so appreciative especially if you are traveling by yourself. The train tickets were already waiting for me at my hotel when I checked in and she gave me detailed instructions. (Be advised: they drop you off at the station and you figure it out yourself but download the Google Translate app and you’re good). She’s great! Then there’s Michelle, my guide in Xi’an. She was so nice and funny and just a great person. I would recommend you ask for her when you book this tour. The sites were fantastic. The Terra Cotta Warriors are beautiful and breath-taking but just be prepared to fight your way to front because Pit 1 is so extremely crowded and there’s no ventilation in there.

Xian tour was amazing. - We had a great tour of Xian which was arranged by Grace. I chose my own accom, Eastern House Boutique Hotel which was perfect for us. The train up and back was relaxing with trolly service for snacks, etc. We were met by our guide, Richard, in Xian who was terrific. Everything happened as the itinerary said. The Terracotta Warriors were amazing, so pleased we did this trip.
All the pickups and dropoffs worked well in both Xian and Beijing. Grace was only a phone call away if we needed her which we did not.
I would highly recommend anyone to use this Company as the communication, service and knowledge was greatly appreciated and they looked after us very well. We had 2 days in Xian and 5 days in Beijing which suited our plans.
Thank you Grace and your team. Ila Collins

Beijing/Xian - Travelled to Beijing and Xian. Out entire trip was put together By Grace from Chinaxiantours. We would not have done this if not for Grace who prepared the complete travel with all my airport and rail transport. She was very responsive via email to any question I had and whenever. My guide in Beijing was Jack.He was very punctual and very knowledgeable. Sasha in Xian was also very impressive with the depth of knowledge.Grace made sure we traveled well and kept in touch while we were in China. This made us feel very much comfortable as we felt we had someone looking after us at all times in a country where we did not know anyone.Hope to visit again

Wonderful tour of Xian - Sophia organised for us to fly to Xian from Hong Kong, and then all details of our trip. We were a bit nervous, never having been to China before, but there was no need to be. It was a totally positive experience, and Sophia's team made sure that it all ran smoothly.
Emails were answered quickly, and we arrived to find our driver, Mr Wong, waiting for us, with a really nice big car. Our guide, Wendy, had brilliant English and a lovely personality, as well as excellent knowledge of Xian.
We went to the terracotta warriors, big wild goose pagoda, the history museum and Muslim Street. All were great visits.
We weren't too keen on the Howard Johnson Gingwa Plaza Hotel: very dull, and it didn't even have a bar. But it's in a great location, and we had superb views over the city walls.
We will definitely book a tour with this company again whenever we get back to China.

Fantastic Xian - We have just spent the most fantastic 2 days in Xian thanks to Sophia from China Xian Tour (
[email protected])
Sophia organized for us to be collected from our hotel in Beijing and delivered to the Beijing West Railway Station for our ride on the fast train to Xian - everything worked like clockwork and the train was fabulous - hardly seemed like we were traveling in excess of 300 kms/hour most of the way.
Mr Chen (our driver) was waiting for us at the station in Xian and delivered us to the hotel - Howard Johnson Ginwa Plaza. Imagine our delight when we got to our room to see the fantastic view from our window of the famous
South Gate and the wonderful illuminations on top of the town wall.
Next morning after a very nice breakfast, Noble (our tour guide) and Mr Chen called for us and we headed off to see the Terra-cotta Warriors. Noble has studied tourism at University and his knowledge of Xian culture and history was amazing - he knew exactly where to take us and in what order - all our questions were answered.
Lunch was in a local restaurant and then it was back into the Centre of town for some more highlights. Firstly Muslem Street with it’s wonderful food stalls - we even tried the soft shell crab on a stick - the street was brimming with colour, noise & fun. Then off to the Drum & Watch Towers and finally, we climbed the many steps to the top of the Wall - what an experience up there, looking down over the moat.
We were so fortunate to be in Xian for the Lantern Festival, which is the last night of the Spring Festival - the City is abuzz with lights & decorations and I think that every one of the 10 million residents is out on the street! We wandered the streets safely and had a great meal at a local restaurant.
Next morning we were up early again with Noble & Mr Chen taking us to Shaanxi History Museum and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist monastery - once again we were treated to a very informative guide to the history of Xian. Lunch was at another local restaurant and it was sensational - nothing like we have experienced before.
Sadly it was time for us to say goodbye to Noble & Mr Chen at the railway station for our fast train back to Beijing - they had been so helpful everyday, with our luggage and friendliness - even helping me out of the car and up the steps where needed!! A bottle of water always there for us in the car too.
We arrived in Beijing and were met at the gate and taken to Beijing International Airport- so efficient - even taken right to Qantas check in, without having to find it for ourselves.
We cannot speak highly enough of Sophia and her team - we would certainly use them if we are fortunate enough to return to China. Everything worked like clockwork. All emails were replied to promptly and we knew exactly what to expect. We believe that we got excellent value for our money paid.
Thank you Sophia

My praise for this tour began before I... -
My praise for this tour began before I even left the US. I contacted China Tours through WeChat and was connected with Lenna. She was informative about this trip and was gracious enough to answer my general questions about travel in China. This trip requires you to be in your lobby the morning of the first day where a driver takes you to the train station and you board train with tickets sent to your hotel several days in advance. The tour guide meets you in the train station and takes you to driver and car. We had them stop for lunch after the 6 hr train ride which was no problem. Then you have 4 hour tour of the city wall and Muslim quarter. You are taken to 4 star hotel and we had a room on 20th floor looking out onto the city wall that is lit up at night-beautiful. Breakfast brunch included and then off to see the terra-cotta army. Awe inspiring site. Lots of information provided by guide and then off to another 5 star hotel and lunch. Note: this was a bit rushed as we had a train to catch by 2:38. Guide took us to station entrance and a driver was waiting for us when we got back to Beijing. Well worth the cost!

This amazing trip was a perfect get... -
This amazing trip was a perfect get away from Beijing. Our tour Guide, Lucia, was amazing. Without Lucia the trip would have been very good but with her expertise the trip was fantastic. She made my grandson and I feel right at home in this new city. I would highly recommend this excursion. If you can get Lucia as your guide that would be a plus.
