Afternoon spent on Keurboomsrivier - We spent and afternoon with Mark and Logan who took us down the Keurboomsrivier on their boat. They work with Great Plett river excursions currently. It was an afternoon thoroughly enjoyed and just what we needed. It’s about 15-20 min boat ride. Our family was the only one in addition to them on the boat that afternoon. They find a nice quiet beach spot along the river to anchor. Our littlest one who is 1.5 waddled in the shallow area and played in the sand with dad. I took my almost 4 year old on the paddle board down the river with me. Both of us loved the quietness in the nature, trees, birds, changing water colours, crisp sunshine on our backs. It was a truly special moment being amidst that alone with her. When we came back Mark took me and our younger son on his paddle board so he could experience it as well. My husband took our daughter further out. There is a point beyond which motorized boats aren’t allowed but you can continue to paddle board. Mike and Althea (husband and daughter) both jumped in the river and took a couple of dips in the river before heading back. Mark and Logan provided us with towels, life jackets, paddle boards, water, popcorn/peanut snacks...and A delicious bottle of bubbly! Both our phones stopped working. Mark and Logan were kind enough to take pictures to capture the memories and send to us later. It was lovely talking to them. They pick up and drop off from lodge so don’t have to worry about driving after drinking champagne. Highly recommend.

Great afternoon on the river. - Loved it and highly recommended. Mark was a great host and we really enjoyed the paddle boarding. Would do it again if we come back to the region.

Great experience - Wonderful location and scenery. The river is situated in a beautiful valley with steep, wooded hills on either side. The paddling is excellent fun and you don't feel rushed at any point. I'll definitely be going back.

A great disappointment - What a scam!!! We were looking forward to the trip for which we had been saving up, booked and paid online. We even received a confirmation email. Upon arrival at the resort, reception knew nothing about the paddle board activity. Then after driving around to find the launching spot, the friendly staff said that they know the person who advertises on Tripvisor well and that he has relocated to Cape Town a long time ago. What a waste of time and money!!! Apparently many people have booked this seemingly good activity, just to be shown away disappointedly, forfeiting their money. Trusting that we will at least get our money back. The friendly lady from Tripvisor at customer services promised that it would happen. Haven't received anything yet, though.

No show supplier - Supplier did not show. The resort where we were supposed to meet up for the activity, informed us that Mark, the tour guide, has relocated to Cape Town and that the service no longer existed. Very disappointed and have informed TripAdvisor, as we booked this activity and paid through the app as per all the other activities but this service doesn’t seem to be available anymore and was unable to reach the operator on their contact details.
