Bucket List at Tetons and Yellowstone done now for great grandkids! - Moose, bear, bison but no trout. Had to go to Livingston for cutthroat. In Kelly many cottonwood trees in bloom an Bison herd in back roads. Elk only come down in winter because they are feed at Elk National Preserve, while in Yellowstone elk are all over and easy to get feed away. Yellowstone has three entrances. Easiest is West Yellowstone 191 through Gallatin Mts. Other old is Momouth Small town. South is 191 but winding and not best for motor homes, high cliffs and overlooks. Never used East from Cody. Two trips. This is a nature lover bucket list. The village of Jackson Hole , Wy. is too commercial. West Yellowstone , Mt. more rustic . Bear exhibit by that entrance. Also good roads to Idaho more parks and moon-like landscape. Been to Yosemite, but in May no water coming down 2000 ft falls nice valley views.. Bozeman, Mt. best route off I 90/94 pass Black Hills and National Parks. Stop off to see a dinosaur bones . Pass a live white Bison. Great trip on way to Alaska. i 80 to Jackson has nice stop in Pinedale , Wy. after Cheyene , Wy but winding canyon road to Jackson Hole, or just fly in like many skiers do.$$$$.

A perfect way to give the legs a rest from skiing - Spent a fantastic day with John, who was knowledgeable, friendly and full of fun anecdotes to pass the time between sightings. We saw so much in a very short time, and had a relaxing break from skiing. We enjoyed his flexibility in the itinerary and his efforts in maximizing each sighting. The lunch was excellent at Palate restaurant in the Wildlife Art Museum. The sleigh ride art he Elk Refuge was very informative and special, in that we got to see them up close in their natural environment. We so thoroughly enjoyed John’s company that we will definitely reach out to him when next in Jackson Hole. Thank you John for a great day!
