Chongqing - At approximately 08:30, a knowledgeable tour guide will meet you at your downtown Chongqing hotel for a comfortable 3-hour private vehicle journey to Wulong County.

Wulong Karst Geological Park - Wulong is renowned for its unique karst landscapes, featuring breathtaking stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes, and gorges. Wulong gained international fame through Michael Bay’s blockbuster movie – Transformers: Age of Extinction, which showcased the stunning beauty of the Three Natural Bridges in Wulong. In addition to this famous movie location, other fascinating natural attractions in the area include Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap, and Fairy Mountain.

Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges - After enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, your delightful Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, the main scenic highlight of this world heritage site. These three massive stone arch bridges, exquisitely crafted by nature, are unparalleled wonders. Within the serene scenic area, you can appreciate the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by strolling along the narrow path at the valley’s base.

During the 2 - 2.5 hour visit, you will also visit an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, built during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) for official business and guest reception. The wooden-structured courtyards are well-preserved, with over 20 rooms remaining.

After some leisure time to explore, your Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes. You will be transported back to your hotel, arriving around 18:30.

Chongqing - In the morning, your driver and tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 09:00 am and transfer you to Chongqing city center for a city day tour.

People’s Assembly Hall - The first stop on this tour is The People’s Hall of Chongqing, a landmark building completed in 1954 to commemorate China’s resistance war and the establishment of a new government. It is also one of the top 10 classic architectural works in 20th-century Asia.

Stilwell Museum/Former Residence of General Stilwell (Shidiwei Jiangjun Jiuju) - Next, you will visit the Chongqing Stilwell Museum - The Flying Tiger Memorial, which served as an important lodging place for the KMT government to accommodate VIPs during the war against Fascism.

Ciqikou (Porcelain Port) - After the museum visit, your guide will take you to enjoy authentic Chongqing Hot Pot (steam bowl), a well-known and popular dish in China. You will challenge this hot and spicy dish for lunch to understand its popularity. In the afternoon, you will visit Ciqikou old town. Ciqikou got its name from the ancient Chinaware production. It is also a great place to explore local folklore.

E’ling Park - Your final stop in Chongqing will be Eling Park, the highest scenic location where you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire city.

Chongqing - At the end, you will be driven to your hotel, concluding this tour.

Chongqing - Guilin by train. O/N Guilin.

Chongqing - Today, you will head to Dazu County for a full day of sightseeing (your guide will meet you at 08:30 in your hotel lobby).

The Dazu Rock Carvings - This is the birthplace of the remarkable Dazu rock carvings, created from the late Tang dynasty (618~907) to the early Song dynasty (960~1127).

With a Buddhist theme, the Dazu cliffside carvings are located in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan, and Shizhuanshan. You will spend the day visiting the Baodingshan carvings, situated about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly consists of the Dafowan rock carvings area and the Xiaofowan rock carvings area.

Baoding Mountain Carved Stone - After a 2-hour drive, you will arrive at the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings. Green buses will take you directly to Baodingshan. You will see mountain cliffs densely adorned with Buddhist and Taoist statues, as well as celebrity figures from the late Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Approximately 10,000 Buddha statues are carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shaped Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with abundant commentary but no repeated content. You can explore at your own pace to closely examine the precious grotto art. After the tour, a sumptuous lunch will be served at a fine restaurant, allowing you to savor authentic Chongqing cuisines.

Chongqing Railway Station - After lunch, you will be driven to Chongqing West Railway Station, where a train to Guilin awaits you. You may take the G1833 16:16-20:58. The train journey takes around 5 hours.

Guilin North Railway Station Parking Lot - Upon arrival in Guilin, you will be promptly picked up and transferred to your Guilin hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Guilin. O/N Guilin.

Guilin - Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at around 09:30 in the morning. You will be escorted to the famous Reed Flute Cave, a 30-minute ride away.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Upon arrival at the cave, you will enter the underground karst cave and marvel at the stunning formations of stalagmites and stalactites.

The Reed Flute Cave is a renowned karst cave with numerous stalagmites and stalactites in the shapes of bamboo shoots, pillars, curtains, and flowers, transforming it into a magnificent underground palace. Inside the cave, you can discover more astonishing sights, such as stone lions, miniature forests, pagodas, and crystal chambers. Each has a romantic or intriguing story associated with it. The vivid interpretation by our guide, along with the lighting, adds mystery to the scene. A trip to the cave lasts about 40 minutes.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After a two-hour drive, you will reach the entrance to the Longji Terraces.
The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a spectacular agricultural marvel with a history of over 650 years. The most captivating part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the first one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields carved along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. There are viewing platforms for visitors to see the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. While there, you can also experience the traditional way of life of the minority Zhuang people. It is quite fascinating to assist them in the fields, try on their brightly colored ethnic costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.

Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, you will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village. The walk up takes about 40 minutes. Your guide will take you on a stroll around the village, where you can glimpse the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses, and you can have lunch in the village.

After a short lunch break, continue your terrace exploration to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, which is a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces beneath your feet. You will have ample time to take pictures and enjoy the fresh air at the platform. Then, head to No.1 Viewing Platform (Nine Dragons and Five Tigers), which requires a 30-minute walk along a flat path.

Guilin - Afterwards, take a private car to your Guilin hotel around 18:00 pm, and enjoy some free time.

Guilin - Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo.

Guilin - In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel at around 07:45, and then escort you to the Zhujiang pier, where you will start the Guilin Li River cruise to Yangshuo (4-star boat with buffet lunch).

Li River - Boarding is scheduled for 9:20 am, and the entire journey takes about 4 hours. With your guide’s company and interpretation, you can immerse yourself in the stunning karst landscape composed of rolling hills, lush forests, peculiar caves, and tranquil villages along the Li River. A buffet Chinese lunch will be served on board before you reach Yangshuo at 2:00 pm.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarkation, you will be driven to see Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. You will climb for 15 minutes along a moderately sloped staircase to reach the top of Xianggong Hill. Please inform your guide in advance if you need a walking stick. Situated between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and the Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the best viewing platforms in Guilin to admire the beauty of the Li River. The breathtaking view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Yangshuo County - At the end, your guide will escort you to your Yangshuo hotel, and you will have free time.
There is an optional night show in Yangshuo, ‘Impression Sanjie Liu’, performed above and on the Li River against verdant hills. The dreamlike stage effect and original singing and dancing of national minorities have earned the performance a great reputation among visitors. The show begins at 20:00 and lasts for 70 minutes; ticket prices range from CNY 268 to CNY 368 depending on the seats. If you are interested, our guide will reserve tickets for you and escort you to the site after dinner.

Yangshuo. The tour ends

Yulong River - In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel at around 09:00, and then escort you to the Yulong River, where you will start the Yangshuo Yulong bamboo boat tour.

Yulong River - Taking a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River (or Dragon River), a tributary of the Li River, is a very relaxing way to enjoy the highly scenic area south of Yangshuo. Here you can enjoy the stunning scenery and views of country life on a non-motorized raft in the traditional way with a gondolier who steers you over the breakwaters past many small mud-brick villages and farmlands. Once you’re on the bamboo raft, sitting and enjoying the peaceful countryside, the limestone mountains, the beauty of this experience unfolds before you. Even if you have cycled the area with a few hidden stretches approaching the river, the view from the river is very different. The boat ride lasts for 50 minutes, one way.

Fuli Ancient Town - Next, travel to Yangshuo Fuli Town by car, a journey of about 20 minutes. In this town, you will experience the life of local farmers. First, your guide will escort you to a local market, then you can head to the old streets to see the fans, paintings, and water buffalo near the river (end of the street).

Xingping Town - Once a sleepy riverside village, Xingping has grown into Xingping Town, where the old center can be easily explored in about 1 hour. Xingping has a long history, with many buildings dating back to the Qing and Ming dynasties. On local market days, the town comes alive and can get quite busy with locals from surrounding villages coming to buy and sell their produce. Restaurants and coffee shops offer the local specialty, beer fish, and local handicrafts, ranging from affordable handmade jewelry. Additionally, the scenery around Xingping is magnificent, and you can see the landscape immortalized on the national 20 RMB note.

Guangxi Airport Management Group Guilin Liangjiang International Airport Company - After lunch in Xingping, you will be transferred to the Guilin airport/train station or back to your Yangshuo hotel. This marks the end of your 6-day Chongqing–Guilin tour services.
