Outstanding Personalized Service with a Smile - Mark, the owner/operator, is accommodating, fun, and thorough. He picked us up at our hotel, took us to the drop point, provided a full orientation and safety briefing. He ensured we had multiple ways to contact him and repeatedly stressed his flexibility in meeting any needs we had. He does all this in a enthusiastic and upbeat manner because that's who he is. We had a great experience and loved supporting a small local business. Oh yeah, the ride was beautiful!

Nice rolling gravel ride at own pace - Mark did a great job picking us up, showing us the route, going through the obligatory safety checks, and making sure bikes were ship shape. Route was gravel and sometimes narrow giving us a little bit of a mountain bike experience. Plenty of views and stops but we still completed the route in 4 hrs. Route returns to Wanaka and all we had to do is tell Mark where the bikes were and he picked them up.

Great NZ EBike day along the river! - Really a fantastic day. Drove out of town with Mark the owner who gave a tour of our way back trail. Start in the truck at 9:30 am and got to the top of the route at Lake Hawea about 10. Great pedal assist EBikes but a bit heavy for those not used to it. Quick safety brief and map review and ofd we went. One Word to Note: There are Many beautiful places to stop and fish or swim but the comoany is not allowed to recommend swimming for safety
Wish we had brought suits and towels on this hot day.
Left lakeside at 10:30 got back to town about 4:30. We went fast in some spots. but also stopped a few time to take in the scenery, put our toes in the water, ans stop at the pattiserie in AlvertTown for a drink and a snack. Really great day overall.
Now as far as the biking, they are full on heavy EBikes that take some getring used to. The back break in on the RIGHT hand. There are many smaller hills tgat def used pedal assist. The path is mostly dirt and gravel. We're not regular bikers and it was fun. Take your time on the narrow and steeper down parts. Get used to using all 10 gears on the pedal assist early in the trek, youll need it.
Also bring a backpack with good amount of drinks, sunscreen, energy bars, sunglasses, etc.
Overall a 5/5 Experience.

Awesome e-bike Wanaka with General Adventure Company - We hired bikes last minute and Mark was brilliant answering all my questions before we booked. Pick up and drop off at your accomodation or an agreed spot in Wanaka is great, ad was the small group size. Mark gave us a 'tour' of the cycle path on the way to drop off at Lake Hawea for us to cycle back to Wanaka to make sure we were confident in where we were going, with recommendations for a couple of spots to stop, including the Pembrooke Patisserie for custard squares which were delish! We got a really good induction on how to use the e-bikes, which were great and the ride was easy with the e-help. Scenery was awesome and it was great to know Mark was following our progress and was only ever a call away ... Happy to come and pick you up anywhere on the track at any time if it was needed.
This was definitely a 5-star day for us and I would highly recommend Mark and his General Adventure Company!

Amazing scenery and a fun e-bike experience - We had an amazing day exploring Lake Hāwea, the Hāwea river and Lake Wānaka. Mark couldn’t have made it easier for us. Great bikes, an awesome mix of scenery and always there to help with instructions, tips on local shops and after a tyre puncture (sorry Mark!) a new bike ready to go in 20 minutes. Highly recommended!

Oh Perfect Day! - This was an absolute highlight of our trip to Wanaka. Stunning scenery and a great ride track along the river through forests and past lovely lakes .
Mark went above and beyond to ensure we had a good day. The bikes are excellent quality, instructions clear and helpful and it was comforting knowing Mark was only 5-10 mins away if we got into trouble!
Mark also had many great tips for local eating places and other activities.
Highly recommended!

Great ride and excellent service. - Excellent ride, at Mark's suggestion we rescheduled from original rainy day.
We then had a fantastic ride with spectacular scenery. We learned a lot about the local area and Mark passed on some good ideas for food on the ride, we can personally recommend the ham and cheese croissant at Pembroke patisserie, plus some recommendations for local restaurants.
We felt very confident that if there were any issues Mark was only a phone call away.
The ride was thoroughly enjoyable as Mark had removed much of the stress with his clear and concise directions

Awesome bike track. - Just awesome,
took my time, incredible scenery, sunny day, highly recommended. Mark pick me up from accommodation and drove to starting point, gave a great run down on ebike as I hadn't rode one before. Every turn there is another photo opportunity, you just have to be mindful of riders coming the other way at some parts of the track.
