*St George’s Chapel (the resting place of Queen Elizabeth II) within Windsor Castle’s grounds is a premier example of Gothic architecture in England. The current Chapel’s construction began in 1475 during Edward IV’s reign. When visiting, be sure to gaze up and appreciate the stone ceiling, added by Henry VII.
The Chapel has hosted numerous royal weddings.
Within the Chapel lie the tombs of 11 monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, George VI, Henry VIII, and Charles I.

Stonehenge - The Enigmatic Stonehenge
The true purpose of this ancient, awe-inspiring creation remains shrouded in the mists of time. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing center, a burial site, or perhaps a massive calendar? How did our ancestors transport the colossal stones from afar and, using only the most basic tools, construct this remarkable structure? Enveloped in mystery, Stonehenge never ceases to amaze.
A panoramic tour of Stonehenge will be provided. Entry to Stonehenge is not included in this tour. - Lacock Abbey - With its 800-year history, Lacock Abbey has served many roles. It began as a nunnery in the 1200s before transforming into a Tudor family home. It has evolved with each owner, and in 1835, the first photographic negative was captured at the Abbey. Today, Lacock is a renowned location for numerous film and TV productions, including Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

Lacock Village - Lacock, An Ancient Village. While you may not have heard of Lacock Village, it’s highly probable you’ve seen it.
Preserved perfectly for over 200 years, this medieval Wiltshire village is a popular filming location for costume dramas and feature films, with notable appearances in Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, and several Harry Potter films.
Lacock Village is believed to have originated as a Saxon settlement, with its name derived from the word ‘lacuc’ meaning ‘little stream’, referring to Bide Brook that flows through the village.
In 1232, Lacock Abbey was founded on the village’s manorial lands by Ela, Countess of Salisbury, and due to her efforts, the village was granted a market and developed a flourishing woolen industry throughout the Middle Ages.
