Highly recommend - Fabulous day with our guide Preston who was so personable and organized. Loved that he prepared us well so we knew what to expect. The kids and I are not very athletic but we managed very well in spite of the wind coming back. Snacks were perfect during the little beach stop and walk. It’s an excellent tour that we all recommend. It’s stunning.

Soo glad I did this! - We ran a little late with the spring ahead time change but River Dawgz were very accommodating. Friendly and efficient, I'm so glad I booked with them. Best trip made better with a fun, relaxing and adventurous trip in kayaks.

Great time on the river with River Dogz - My son and I did the self-drive, half-day Emerald Cave Kayak Tour with River Dogz. Prior to booking online, I called the company as I had questions about what to bring etc, and the staff answered all of them patiently and kindly! Even though my son is only 12, they let him go on a single kayak instead of having us take a tandem. (this was one of the Qs I called to ask) He has taken kayaking summer camps before so he's pretty good at it. Our self-drive group had 8 people and Preston was our guide. Preston is great; not only he's very knowledgable about the area, but he's also super friendly and warm. The kayaking part (4 miles total) is pretty easy because this stretch of the river is very calm with not much current. All the boat trips stop at a little beach where you get off for snacks and a short hike to a great viewpoint. There were other kayaking groups but Preston made sure we had our space and time for the beach and the cave. (At this time of year, there is only a short window - 90 minutes - where the lighting is good in the cave, so all the groups try to jostle in during that time frame!) I highly recommend bringing sunhat, sunscreen, long-sleeves, shorts, water shoes/sandals, a dry bag, and waterproof cellphone case. Your feet/lower legs will get wet stepping in / out of the kayak! I also wore biking gloves for paddling. Overall a wonderful way to enjoy being on the water. Highly recommend River Dogz!

A beautiful experience - If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure on the water, the **Emerald Cave Kayak Tour with River Dogz** is an absolute must—and having **Rebecca** as our guide made the experience even more incredible! From the very start, everything was well-organized and stress-free. Rebecca greeted us with a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm that set the perfect tone for the day. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable, whether they were first-time kayakers or experienced paddlers. The journey down the **Colorado River** was nothing short of breathtaking. The water was crystal-clear, the towering canyon walls were awe-inspiring, and the peacefulness of the surroundings was pure magic. Rebecca shared fascinating stories about the area's history, wildlife, and geology, making every moment on the river both educational and exciting. Of course, the highlight was reaching the **Emerald Cave**—and it was even more stunning in person! The way the sunlight hit the water, creating that glowing emerald-green effect, was absolutely mesmerizing. Rebecca knew exactly where to position us for the best views and photos, making sure we got to fully soak in the beauty of the cave. Throughout the tour, River Dogz went above and beyond—providing top-quality kayaks, plenty of cold water, fresh fruit, and snacks to keep us energized. Their attention to detail and commitment to an amazing guest experience was evident at every turn. If you're visiting the **Las Vegas area** and want a break from the Strip, this tour is the perfect escape into nature. Huge thanks to Rebecca for making it such a fun, relaxing, and memorable adventure—I can't recommend this experience highly enough!
