A simple Christmas treat! - It’s just plain cute! Sugar cookie and hot chocolate were perfect! The ride through the redwoods was beautiful. We had no kids with us, so watching the children was fun, especially when the snow ball fight happened! 👍

Felt like a kid again! - I felt like a kid again when the on-train snowball fight began! That was fun, along with getting to meet Mr. Skunk himself!!! Mark American Falls, Idaho

Shared Christmas Joy - 16 family members gathered as an Early Christmas Treat! We did the VIP Christmas Party! Early boarding, Skunk Train Coco cups with unlimited refills, Skunk Train Books and a Memory Skunk pin keepsake!!!!!…..The 4:30 pm-6:30 pm train was IDEAL, as it was DARK when we reached the BEAUTIFUL glowing Christmas Tree in the forest at the halfway point in our journey. Our Littles ranged from 1 to 16, and EVERYONE (young and old), even 83 year old Great Grandma had a WONDERFUL time! A beautiful bucket list experience for sure!!!!

A great train ride - We really enjoyed this train ride. We enjoyed the commentator who explained what we were looking at. The singing conductor was an added bonus. Well worth the money.

Pumpkin ride - Great scenery through the Redwoods. Knowledgeable conductor. Pumpkins and fall decor were not overdone. Loved the free cider and the open air car.

Nice experience - Nice, informative train experience . Concession stand is reasonably priced . The train ride, however, seemed a bit expensive for what you get. Ultimately no regrets-happy we did it!

Disappointed in Willits - Our family has been on a Christmas Train ride and by no means was this anywhere near what we've experienced with other train rides. It was a small train from Willits that basically took us to a decorated tree, saw the skunk and came back. It is definitely not worth the money or time, but I will admit we were 4 adults. We did not have kids with us. Maybe they would have loved it.

Disappointing Ride - I have been on a wonderful Polar Express train in Colorado and thought this skunk train would be a similar experience, but I was wrong. We paid an extra $40 per person for the VIP experience and that was a huge waste of money. Basically we boarded the train first, so our choice of seats, but the train was not full, so would have had that choice anyway. The train is sparsely decorated. You travel to a tree that’s advertised as the largest Christmas tree in the world. It’s just a redwood tree with lights. We met with a skunk-ok, it is the skunk train, but not a substitute for Santa. On the ride back we received a sugar cookie. It was a disappointing experience, but I will reveal that we had no kids with us, only adults, so maybe kids love it.

Doing do in the Christmas route - We were disappointed with the Christmas skunk train because they do not let you out of the train to hike in the redwoods like they do on the other routes. This was not mentioned in the website. We have been on the other routes before and have enjoyed and recommend the train for the mere fact that you are allowed to get off and hike in the redwoods so we assumed we would be allowed off the train on the Christmas route. This should be clearly specified on the website. This experience was not worth the expensive price.
