Step back in time to Williamsburg in 1943 with this engaging 1-hour character tour. Discover how the town’s residents are managing rationing, blackout drills, and the influx of servicemen during the festive season.
Each tour offers a unique experience, so the routes may differ from those advertised. Participants will be led through the town by either a USO Hostess or an Air Raid Warden. For evening tours, an Air Raid Warden will exclusively guide the tour. Routes may also be adjusted to accommodate activities in Colonial Williamsburg.
Shades of Our Past is not associated with Colonial Williamsburg, and as such, this tour does not include entry or admission to buildings owned by Colonial Williamsburg. Since the tour takes place on the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, it is dependent on weather conditions. Please be prepared for any weather.
