Great walk through Williamsburg - Great tour with guide Lonnie. We thought there was a minimum number of people to conduct the tour based on Viator's website. We thought it might be canceled due to light rain. We showed up at the historic capital building and found out the two of us were the only ones on tour with Lonnie. He said he does the tour with any number. Lonnie worked many years as an interpretive guide at Williamsburg. Now he leads tours. He is a wealth of information. He is very good at making the history interesting. We learned a lot about Williamsburg, its history, preservation, and what goes on today. We really enjoyed our night (8-9 PM) walk through pretty much empty streets of Williamsburg.

Great way to spend an hour! - We wound up being the only people in the time slot; so we ad the equivalent of a private tour. Lonnie was a great guide; knowledgeable , personable and willing to go off- script to answer questions.

Schedule the Colonial Williamsburg Tour! - Lonnie was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about Colonial Williamsburg. If you want to learn more about the area that the brochure and other reading material don't provide, then schedule this tour. I felt very comfortable asking questions and Lonnie always had answers. Highly recommend!

Lonnie is a Great Guide for the Williamsburg Tour - We had a 3:00pm Saturday Tour and were the only ones booked at that time. Lonnie was friendly/courteous/good sense of humor. Most importantly, he really knew his stuff when it came to Williamsburg. We learned a tremendous amount in an hour and the tour piqued our interest to read more about Williamsburg history

Fantastic one hour tour. A+++ - Excellent one hour tour! We had limited time in Williamsburg and decided on this tour (based on its excellent reviews) instead of the Colonial Williamsburg pass. For us, this was a great decision. Lots of information in a short time. Covered a good amount of colonial history as well as how the preservation of Williamsburg came about. My husband often gets bored by the end of a tour, but Lonnie’s humor and storytelling kept his attention and at the end he said this was one of the best tours he’s taken. This would be a great background prior to visiting the individual homes/buildings but it also worked well for us since we had limited time and did not do the Williamsburg pass. The 9am tour was nice because it wasn’t super hot yet (and Lonnie kept us in the shade as much as possible). Highly recommend this tour. Tons of interesting history. It’s a bargain!!!
